I can see why HE would want the Jones fight to avenge that loss like 25yrs ago, but Tito was his biggest win and best fight of his career why would he want to do anything to fog the memory of the first fight by a rematch???

Because he'd beat Trinidad extremely easily, and make a stack of money. Sounds like a good farewell fight to me

Predictable but disappointing. I have zero interest in seeing these ancients fight rematches that should have happened half a decade ago. It's time for all of them to admit that time has marched on.

I agree with you. Personally, I think Bernard beat Cazlaghe, but even though he never got the decision, he still proved he was capable of competing at the highest level. Extraordinary achievement when you take into consiseration the man's age!

Hopkins would beat Trinidad easier than the last time. I would only like to see Hopkins fight Jones because I believe B-Hop would avenge the loss he siffered to Jones back in 1993! Other than that, I hope Hopkins takes on a different opponent!

However, it's all about money at this stage of Bernard's boxing career, so if he's offered a lot of money for Jones or Trinidad, I wouldn't blame him for taking up the offer!

Great athlete & a great man!

hopkins stamina wouldnt be as much of an issue vs jones as he onyl fights sporadically now whereas calzaghe was able to fight at a fast pace every minute of every round due to his unreal stamina...hopkins won't have any problems with jones IMO

Hopkins was offered 6 million (a career high payday 2 times anything he had ever made or ever did make again until the DLH fight) to take this fight back when people gave a ****. Instead he fought Carl ****ing Daniels for 1.2 million. He needs to shut the **** up and retire

To look on the bright side, outside of DLH and Mosley, at least the old guys are fighting each other.

I think Bernard is really serious about coming back. Was justing reading that he's looking to have a pair of boots made with specially reinforced heels as the other pair got worn out against Calzaghe

If he could rematch Trinidad, Jones and Calzaghe that would be great.
