Please no to the rematch. Dawson/Pascal II is a far better fight.

Great news imo... hope this fight happens, I'm probably in the minority but this fight still excites me.

Even the HBO suits aren't arrogant enough to try to sell this on PPV.

At least I would hope they aren't. If they are... :rofl:rofl

If this fight happens, it should be on FNF's as a main event. No interest in it at all.

Hopkins generally doesn't drop his belts. I don't think he's ever done that in his career. Unless he has a mega-fight lined up for another belt elsewhere, he will most likely fight Dawson again.

So the WBC is mandating Chavez, jr, Hopkins, and Wlod to fight. Hopkins could say he won't fight a dirty fighter. I know, Hopkins. Chavez, Jr is probably saying "oh, ****" as far as fighting Martinez and Wlod vs Palacios will be very entertaining.

I find it reasonable and fair. Bernard fights him and retains the title or not even tho a payday against Bute would be better. People and the ref gat to be very precise in the instructions b4 the fight... Chad can't stick his elbow-forearm to push Nard away and he will get disqualified if he tries to hold legs or try wrestling ****. I would love if Nard takes this.

Rumor has he wants Bute. So you may be right if Hopkins can make 168.

i really dont think hopkins wants anything to do with chad dawson again.
i think hopkins was pinning his hopes on chad being a bit weak mentally and hopkins expected to bully him and take his confidence away.
when hopkins realised that was'nt gonna happen, he bailed out injured, rather than being on the recieving end of a one sided beating for 12 rounds.

    It dont mean anything.

Hopkins only fought Dawson because he was obligated to by his contract with HBO. He fulfilled it and will move on to someone else. There is no chance of him fighting Dawson again. He will drop the belt and fight someone like Bute or even Lebedev instead.
