Hopkins ought to just retire.

    Strangely enough, many American boxing fans still think Hopkins is one of the best fighters in the world, even at 43...so they would give Joe a lot of credit...British fans wouldn't give him half as much as for beating Kessler or Dawson...but Joe already has recognition in Britain - he doesn't have enough in the US, though...so it's the Americans he needs to impress...and if they buy it, he'll sell it!

    hopkins should fight on. calzaghe's not going to "hurt" him. who outside of the cruiser or hw division is going to hurt hopkins? hopkins is still a top fighter and should fight until he gets beaten. hopkins and calzaghe should take place. calzaghe's not gonna fight dawson, so who's left, clinton woods?

    Hopkins-Calzaghe is going to happen. Both men are notoriously tough negotiators who feel the need to do a lot of posturing. All part of the course.

    When Hopkins beats Calzaghe, I will be sure to bump this thread.
