The rankings will be debated but when all the dust has settled All those fighters will end up in the same ATG neighborhood.

    No order whatsoever:

    Hopkins
    DLH
    Pac
    Floyd
    RJJ

(is there anyone from around the same period that can be added to the list?)

    Oscar doesn't belong.

It would be a copmletely different ball game if it was a beauty contest though.

I agree, and Oscar DOES belong imo

-I reread I missed the vicinity part. Yeah Hops-RJJ-Floyd-Pac are the top of the ATG class where Oscar-Wright-Trinidad-Forrest are just a bit below. Not by much though

Just stating my opinion as well, Oscar is not up there w/ atg's ... while a good boxer he failed to capitalize too many times.

Now if we are talking Sexy Sergio & Oscar, then we can rank them ATG beauty pagents.

floyd skills might be ATG but his resume doesnt even come close to ray leonards, ali, pac, hopkins, ray robinson, dlh fought the best and lost but he still fought the best.

He got beat up one too many times. Vargas is considered his sweetest win, but he even finds a way to get lost and give away some rounds in there.

I'm OK with this thread. First impulse was to say Oscar doesn't quite make it into this group, but I suppose the fact he clearly deserved the decisions over Trinidad and in the second Mosley fight mean he can't be all that far behind Floyd, considering Floyd has ZERO wins as good as those two.

I still have Floyd higher than him because I think Floyd has only lost one fight, vs JLC, which he avenged, whereas I thought Oscar lost to both Quartey and Whitaker by a point each time, plus I think the sfw Floyd was probably a marginally better fighter than the lw/lww Oscar.

Anyway, I agree that those five are the standouts of the era, and this is my order:

    Pacquiao

Hopkins/Jones (leaning more towards Hopkins being ahead of Jones these days)

    Mayweather
    De La Hoya
