Hopkins-Pascal possible for december 18 according to Schaefer

  1. I fancy Hopkins chances in this match-up and welcome it is it can come this year. I think B-hop still has a few fights in him and he can out slick Pascal who fights in spurts. I see Bernard being about to counter punch his was to a close SD win.

Well we said the same thing when he lost to Taylor for the second time.....then 7 months later he climbs to light heavyweight and hands Antonio Tarver a 12 round schooling.

Then when he was narrowly defeated in a split decision against Calzaghe, we again called for him to retire.....but 6 months later, he faces an undefeated super-star in the making that's 15 years his junior, and guess what, he hands him a 12 round ass whooping too.

So what have we learned from old man Bernard after all these years?.....whenever you back him against the wall, he'll prove you wrong, time and time again.

Bernard has to retire. He is 46 in January. Eventually he will have a big loss. Why not go out with a win over Roy?

If Dawson had Pascal on ***** street numerous times throughout their fight imagine what Hops is going to do to him. I just hope they don't rob Hops the way they did Bad Chad.

is there really any doubt hopkins will win? I find it disturbing how we never got close to a hop vs dawson fight. Yet the week after dawson gets beat hopkins and pascal gets pretty much agreed. Who is a much easier fight for him. Im not a dawson fan at all but stylistically dawson would have troubled hopkins.

Anyways i dont look forward to watching hop fighting again. After he wins he will hopefully retire once and for all.

Were you by any chance re-watching the 2nd round of Mayweather-Mosley while making that ridiculous comment ?

Pascal win this one easy, he's now a top5 p4p and will crush Hopkins with ease.

Ahhh, avoided Dawson for years and jumps once Dawson loses to a less talented fighter. But I'm sure he'll get a pass for this, just like his disgraceful performance against Calzaghe.

    Hahaha, that's a good one!

So let's see what you're saying: you say Hopkins shouldn't get a free pass for fighting The Ring LHW champion who more or less dominated the Chad Dawson who made a career of fighting shot Hopkins leftovers? Are we talking about the same Chad Dawson that avoided Adrian Diaconu? So we should trash Hopkins for fighting the Jean Pascal who's 3-0 vs. Chad Dawson and Adrian Diaconu in a fight that brings more money and recognition (lineal title) than Dawson ever could?

Nah... you almost had me but you're probably just joking.

Hopkins looked dreadful against RJJ and for all his experience and ring smarts, I think Pascal takes it. Hopkins is an OAP at this stage who hasn't had a good victory since Pavlik almost two years ago. Too much too old imo but B-Hop is full of surprises so who knows.

Get Lemieux v Rubio on the undercard and it should be an exciting night.

There seriously needs to be a great undercard to match this fight and some sort of eliminator involving Lemieux could be just that.

Because going out with a conceivable win against Pascal would be so much sweeter. Think about it... he's probably been waiting around, staying in shape just for an opportunity like this one...to make history nonetheless.
