This may seem a bit far-fetched but don't discount the possibility that Hopkins carried RJJ a bit so that he could remain a viable opponent afterwards:think.

Why is losing to Carl Froch a bad thing? Also, Hopkins still has a lot left in the tank. This is a great fight, I'll be looking forward to it, if this fight does happen.

Ignorance is bliss, but let me flash in that empty box of yours!

Bad Chad Dawson rather gave up his WBC belt when fat****'s offer was outbid by the Romanians than to face his mandatory, and went on fighting old Hopkins opponents instead. And you accuse Hopkins of ducking a guy... who made a career off his leftovers? And when Hopkins considers fighting Pascal who beat both young unbeaten Dawson and young unbeaten/avoided Diaconu, you say we should trash him for such a cowardly act?

I think I get it. Jean Pascal should fight John David Jackson and Robert Allen just to earn to be avoided by Hopkins, because that's all a 45 year-old fighter does, avoiding fighters half his age. :patsch

I wont believe this fight is happening until it is signed sealed and delivered.
Hopkins tends to fight guys who are having to come up in weight alot of the time of late to gain an advantage. Pascal is now established at LHW so i'll wait until its signed before I believe it

I cant believe how many people are talking up this fight between a 27 year old Pascal against a 45 year old Hopkins, when so many have come on here and slagged off a 36 year old Calzaghe for beating an active P4P 43 year old Hopkins.

    Bias or what?

if Pascal edges out a SD and his fans start proclaiming him an ATG, he will get slagged off the same way.

what you're saying pretty much implies that you believe Pascal and Calzaghe should be submitted to the same standards. Which means you think that they are around the same level.

Most people judge Calzaghe to a higher set of standards because of all his previous accomplishments and his standing in history. But your post just goes to show you how low the Brit's standards are for their best fighters.

If Pascal beats Hopkins, no-one will give him any real credit anyway.

Your forgetting Pascal is young in his career and not 7 years younger but 18.
Forgetting its not Pascals first fight at a new weight.
Forgetting nobody slagged off J Taylor, and if you look at Taylors official overall points difference on the scorecards in his 2 fights with Hopkins he was 6 points higher. In Calzaghes 1 fight with Hopkins he was overall 7 points higher. Complete dominance. It was only a SD because of home country judging by one judge.

Just a note. Philla has added to his quote after I replied with the extra sentences. Shows how foolish he is because he fails to note Calzaghe beat a P4P fighter not a semi retired one.
His next part shows him as a real dummy because of course you would rate a world champ of 10 years with 21 defences, who cleaned out a division and won WBO WBA WBC IBF & Ring belts higher.

Shows how lame someone is when they wait long after a finished quote to add more to their quote and that they cant debate on an even level

First of all, you're full of bull****. People slagged off Jermain Taylor left right and center. Hopkins vs Calzaghe was an SD cause it was a close fight. You don't know the meaning of dominance.

You keep comparing Calzaghe with Pascal. That's the point that cannot come across through your head. You cannot compare Calzaghe favourably to Pascal and then use that as an argument to Calzaghe's greatness.

If you're trying to say Calzaghe is greater than Pascal, I'll hand it to ya, and so will everyone else.

There's no double standard here no matter how much your inferiority complexed british ass thinks there is.

This doesn't really make any sense. Because Danny Green took all the viability out of Roy Jones and the fight when he knocked him out in 1 round.

If anything carrying Jones made Hopkins look bad. Because Green had such an easy time with him and Hopkins had a tough time.
