    115-111 Hopkins

Pascal looked terrible last night. Hopkins seems to be able to make a lot of good fighters look ordinary, great performance from BHOP.

Hopkins bodyshots took a lot out of pascal as he really didnt do anything and wasn't allow to do anything from the 4 rounds onwards. I was quite fortunate to put £5 on the draw to cover my ass at the last moment at 33/1 otherwise i would be down £150 on pascal to win on points.

Pascal was shown up after the first three rounds. It doesn't mean he's completely **** or something, but he has flaws that were pretty apparent. Considering how they spent weeks working on the gameplan, they had no answer to Hopkins body punching. disappointing from jean, but impressive from Bernard.

  7. With regard to the knockdowns I thought that the rounds were close so gave them as 10-8 rounds to Pascal.

Hopkins won the fight clearly IMO.

Hes defied age for so long..who else has been at the top end of the p4p rankings in their 40s?

Hopkins deserves the record of being the oldest ever world champ.

I think it would be pretty uncharitable to give Hopkins the benefit of every close round. And I agree with you on the 10-8 rounds.

Did Hopkins win in rounds? Absolutely - he outclassed Pascal, it was excellent to watch actually. It was nice to see Hopkins boxing and moving, even at the expense of one my favourite fighters.

But on points it was close because of the knockdowns. That's all there is to it. If Hopkins hadn't been sloppy early on he would have taken the fight convincingly. But he was and he didn't.

The score could easily have been 113-113 (five rounds to Pascal - 1,2,3,8 and 12, I think, with the rest to Hopkins. The two 10-8 rounds make the difference). There's no point decrying the scoring or that Hopkins got robbed - he didn't. It was a close fight on the cards if not in the ring.

And that is just how boxing is. A robbery is Huck-Lebedev, not Pascal-Hopkins.

Had it 113-113. Hopkins deserved the win Bt it was a genuine draw, no robbery

Why do you think there are 3 judges at a fight instead of 1?

how can anyone of scored the 4th and 5th rounds top Hopkins?

Theres 7 rounds on the card that at least 1 judge has given to Pascal.

A draw is a fair result.

I dont care about all the "how to score a round" BS.

Unless a guy gets bashed around the ring and coutners in the last 10 secs to score a knockdown, im giving it 10-8 to the guy who scored the KD

Hopkins would beat so easily in a rematch. He wouldn't make the same errors again to get put over. The knockdowns are the only things that kept Pascal in with a shout of even getting a draw scorecard.
