Dude i dont know hopkins looks so fresh in this fight he looked so good in the fight i rewatches the JOEC fight. Looking at his footwork compared to RJJS vs JOE is night and day how am man 43 can move that fast for 12 rounds is amazing he needs to get more RESPECT for that fight NO ONE else could have made pavlik look this bad no one...

    ALL HAIL HOPKINS!

Shocked the **** out of me. Based on his last few fights I thought Hopkins was pretty close to shot. Obviously he is not.

I'm sure the opponent had something to do with Hopkins looking so much better against Pavlik than Cal, but I also think it helped Hopkins immensely to have Nazim Richardson back playing a prominent role in his training camp leading up to the fight.

Regardless of the reason, Bernard was amazing against Pavlik.

Have you heard of periods or commas? They help separate sentences and thoughts. They're great!

lmao to that, a comma wouldve helped..but word up BHop has been slowing down as a fighter, but he is alot wiser now and that is what made the difference in the Pavlik fight..He shot off combos when he had to and held on to stay fresh...smart fight by a smarter fighter..

Hopkins is the master of lateral movement. This is one of my all time favorite fights.

Calzaghe would have done an even better job on Pavlik.

It was always going to be the case that someone with great footwork, fast hands and punching from unusual angles would be the undoing of a guy as one dimensional as Pavlik.

It was a bad fight for Pavlik at the wrong weight. He is tall, but not a big guy. At 160lbs he is far from lean. He probably could make 154lbs.

And then he fights the wrong guy for him. A guy he cant over power and hit at will. A guy who is quick and crafty. Kelly has lots of holes, but nobody has been a good enough boxer to get to them consistently.

I think Kelly is a good guy and he is good for boxing. I talked a lot of BS after the loss to Hopkins. It was directed to all those delusional fans who were as blind as I was with Miranda at one point. I told them their day would come and was happy it did.

So the reality is Pavlik is a great 160lbs fighter. But he is not elite, not even close. He would not have a chance against Calzaghe. I think Abraham puts him out for the count. He should stay at 160lbs and avoid Abraham. I dont see anyone else in that weight that would beat him.

Oh boy, here we go again with the exagerrations.

Abraham ain't Hopkins. He doesn't have Hopkins skill. It would be a completely different fight.

There is aboslutely no reason for Pavlik to avoid Abraham. Abraham is custom built to get KTFO by Pavlik. Your boy Edison mangled Arthur's face in a fight that should have been stopped. What the **** do you think Pavlik is gonna do to AA? KP will keep the pressure on, Abraham will go to the ropes, and it's over. Furthermore, with the current talk of Winky/Abraham in Febuary, Pavlik/Abraham may become irrelevant. If Abraham/Wright happens, Winky goes jab-jab-jab while AA beats on Wrights gloves for 12 rounds, and Winky wins a boring, but clear, UD.

  13. Yes Hops fought his best fight since he KO'D Tito a long time ago!
Pavlik was beat down almost as bad as Roy was against Calzaghe.

I agree man - Nazim is very underrated and has a crystal clear understanding of strategy during fights.

its easy to see, why hopkins looked so much better, against the abysmal and plodding footwork pavlik presented, he had a field day with his lateral movement.. i didnt he think he had it in him, but hopkins did an excellent job.. even with pavlik flaws, he deserves all the praise he gets, that was a boxing lesson, using angles, using movement, that was art in motion..

but his job against, joe wasnt close to excellent.. joe´s speed in both his feet and hands, almost nullified hopkins lateral movement, and joe was able to be infront of hopkins tthe majority of the fight, he made hopkins fight his pace, where as pavlik always had to play catch-up and fight bernards fight..

hopkins looked better, but he wasnt, the only thing that changed, was the opponents class..
