I really can't understand those people, man. Claiming Hopkins is in his prime right now is like saying the sun rises in the west.
Only ppl thats gonna say hes in his prime or near his prime are Calzaghe fans. Because they want him to go down as an all time great. If he was to beat Roy, they're gonna say Roy was one of the best fighters alive.:rofl :rofl :rofl I can see it coming.
I know it's Calzaghe fans man, I already said that in this thread. They would love it if Hopkins fought one of the Klitschko's and KO'd him, then Joe would be GOAT. But I mean even hardcore fans should be able to determine Hopkins is NOT in his prime right now. How can ppl be so blinded by their love for a fighter? :verysad
Who would ever consider a 43 years old boxer prime? His magificient showing in his last bout is simply due to the fact that the opposition is slightly overrated.
Hopkins may the only 40 + fighter that is in his prime ..I mean his best performance before his most recent fighst at lt heavy was against Tito ..He just got better after that !
he is definitely not near what he use to be, I voted 7 but as we all should know, a BHOP at 7 is still better than almost everyone
Hopkins is shot, HOWEVER if you put him in vs the right fighter he can still win fights..Example..I think that Hopkins could beat Bute, but would lose to Andrade who lost to Bute, I also think that Hopkins would likely beat Kessler..Thing about Hopkins is you can outwork him at this point, because he cant keep up with active fighters, but if your a classic one-two fighter Hopkins can still beat you.
