Dawson really is an idiot. On what basis is he the "real" champion? He didn't win the fight legitimately.
Did you watch the first 2 rounds?. People were honestly underwhelmed by both rounds and the ending mate. Even HBO commentators were non nonplussed about the whole thing in the end. That's why i presume many would rather see more entertaining fights. I personally wouldn't moan at a rematch...
:rofl Think Hopkins will go for the Cleverley unification fight now. With all due respect, he's an easier challenge than a Dawson rematch. He will get paid big bucks to come to the UK, lower-risk/high reward, its a very-sellable fight over here, and Hopkins can say he wants to get revenge for being robbed by Calzaghe by beating his understudy.
"Rematch? No I'm not giving him a rematch I'm the champ now why should we do it again?" Oh Chad atsch
Bang on, it was an NC as fight finished before 4th round. NC also means rematch where as a draw can allow Hopkins to move on. Bull**** really. Exactly! :good
It was Dawson that was refusing a rematch straight after the fight. He seems to think being given a title is just as good as winning it. Hes a little ***** and hes showing himself up again.
The WBC rules state it was a TD (you can see that on the FightNews link I posted) if it finishes in that way before the fifth round begins. I guess they are (for once) following their own rules: I don't have much sympathy for Dawson over this. He caused the whole drama and his behaviour post-fight has been laughable. And entirely in-keeping with his sense of entitlement.
Hopkins would be mad to take a fight with Cleverly in the UK, He would have to knock him out just to get a draw, as for Dawson, **** him, the way he acted after the fight was pathetic.
what was his post fight interview like iv heard alot of people say the same thing but not actually seen it what did he sya?
Wasn't just the interview he was trashtalking all way through the long wait. Shouting **** across the ring at Bernard etc and then had his interview where he kept up same attitude.
