He wouldn't be sarcastic with it and then in the post-fight interview use it as evidence. He would be consistent and say "I can't fight with one arm."

 

Hopkins shoulder/arm looked nowhere near that damaged too. He clearly can't move the thing.

 

He fought Echols with one hand after being body-slammed and b4 sending him somewhere else b4 the final bell. Dawson was slick ducking that right hand but he was no more than a hillbilly redneck attitude footoball player to have slammed who he was facing that night.

The ref asked him if he could continue he said "I can't." Then he asks him again "So you can't continue?" And he says "Yeah, with one hand." Being sarcastic. So no. He said he can't continue. The old man shouldn't even be fighting in his frail state and got what he deserved for cheating.

If you listened to what he says he then mentions having a lump on top of his shoulder. Basically, signalling that he was injured and couldn't continue.

Hopkins didn't want to continue, which is fair enough with that kind of injury. He made it clear to the ref and to anyone with a brain.

He then flaps his gums post fight about how he wanted to continue so that ******ed fanbois would keep calling him a G.

 

Pascal fought Diaconnu with a broken and dislocated shoulder.

 

Well the point I was trying to make was, Margarito was actually trying to fight and got pissed at the ref wanting to check his vision and stop the fight even though he had a broken orbital

And Morales in the Maidana fight. Lesser folk like Popkins would have said he was thumbed and asked for a DQ.

Just to clear this up, any competent referee is gonna stop a fight if a fighter says that to him.

 

Dawson didn't slam him down, he simply shoved him off with his shoulder. Blame Hopkins for lunging on Dawson while he was ducking.
