it wasn't a clear slam. dawson shoved forward a bit but did not lift bernard then put weight or force on bernard on the way down. it was more of a push but bernard was just in an awkward position. he fell on his weight from a distance not higher than the waist level on a much more flexible ring floor. it's just hard to see how he acquired a bad injury from that.
