    Ummm...Tarver is a much more accomplished fighter than Kessler was. And Hopkins jumped 2 weight classes at 40+ years of age, with no preparation fight to defeat the TRUE LHW champion.

    That's a bit more impressive than what Calzaghe did by cleaning out the taxi cab drivers and Kessler.

    I'm amazed and baffled by the number of people who not only believe Calzaghe will win, but actually have the audacity to think he'd win "easily".

    Everyone is entitled to his own opinion, I just wish these posters suffering from group deluisons would share the drugs.

    Old man Popkins is the laughing stock of boxing.

    Calls out fighters then gets his trainer to announce that he wont fight them.

    He should hand over the ring belt to Joe and go back down to fighting welterweights seeing as thats what he's good at.

    better fighters yes, although you are right, he has never challenged a 'linear' champ. but then again, baldomir was the linear at WW so really it's not quite as straight forward as that.

    Ahhh....Well, let's see what you got...As an amateur, Tarver did this:

    1993 and 1995 United States amateur Light Heavyweight champion.
    1994 National Golden Gloves Light Heavyweight champion
    Won the Light Heavyweight bronze medal for the United States at the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta

    As a pro, he fought Eric Harding twice, Reggie Johnson, Montell Griffin, Roy Jones 3 times, Glen Johnson twice, and Bernard Hopkins.

    WHAT DID KESSLER DO? WHO DID HE FIGHT? I mean I don't like Tarver, but what the hell did Kessler accomplish??? Tell me wise ass.
