I think if Calzaghe were to fight Hopkins now it would be a competative close decision to Calzaghe 117/116/115

If Hopkins wins a clear decision like you say, i'll be shocked. But for Hopkins to do that he's going to have to put on a CAREER best performance, and if he does that i'll give him all the credit he deserves. Beating Calzaghe would be his best win BY FAR.

However if Calzaghe wins I expect people to give him credit, because Hopkins is far from shot as some people are suggesting.

But hopkins is embaressing himself by blatantly avoiding Calzaghe, he needs to put up or shutup.

He fights a bunch of bums who aren't Danish in Denmark. Wouldn't you call that a backyard fighter? 37 out of 40 fights fought in Denmark, wouldn't you call that a backyard fighter? How many of his opponents were Danish??? If they weren't, why did they all have to travel to Denmark to fight him???

They will argue ANYTHING if it helps make up for Calzaghe's mediocre resume.

    Pathetic, really.

Is Hopkins one of the two best fighters at 168-175 except for Joe? Because Joe said: 2 more fights...if he isn't...he shouldn't fight HIM, but, instead, one of the best 2.

He's fought 40 times...I don't care if he is 28 or 38. If he wanted to make a name for himself, he could've fought all over the world (more than 3 times in 40 fights).

I mean Winky fought all over the world to build a buzz for himself, and because he had trouble getting good fights in the US. It's not like it's unheard of...

Besides, BIG FIGHTS AREN'T MADE IN DENMARK. I AM NOT ANTI-DENMARK, IT'S JUST FACT.

Of course! Eubank is an invincible demi-God and Tarver a mere mortal with no boxing skills whatever.

Only a divine boxer like the Mighty Calslappy could tame the beast known as Eubank!

winky made a buzz for himself back home, no one else gave a **** about him. how is some bland danish kid gonna whip up a stir about himself by randomly fighting all over the world? no one in the states would pay to come see him, you are underestimating how hard it can be for a non american to make his name in the states.

Ever since he's captured a title, he's been fighting 4 times in Denmark, and two times outside Denmark. And his most significant fights are outside Denmark, you poof. Let's see Hopkins go to Wales and fight...
Mikkel is far from a home-town fighter, sure he's built his record on fights in Denmark, and he has provided scandinavians fights that we can actually go to, other wise we wouldn't have nothing.
He didn't have to go to Australia to fight Mundine, and he didn't have to go to Wales to fight the best European fighter.. did he?

I think it's pretty clear what is going on.

Hopkins doesn't want to go fight in Wales, because he knows his shifty style is all but guaranteed to lose on points. He won't get Hopgoggles going on in Cardiff, for sure.

And who said Calzaghe has had weak opposition? Slap yourself please.

Compared to Hopkins's comp? I'm saying it! His best wins are against two mediocre champions (Eubank and Kessler) and an overhyped sack of **** (Lacy).

Compared to Hopkins, his competition was weak by any measurable standard.
