Yeah he did, because Calzaghe only fights in his backyard hahaha.

Listen, I am not a Super American. I don't think we're better than everyone. However, in boxing, the biggest stage currently is Las Vegas. You could argue Madison Square Garden, Staples Center in LA, etc. as well.

However, to make a name, you need to fight in the USA.

I am not a Calzaghe or Kessler hater. They are both good fighters. But I know boxing, and I know boxers outside of the US. The fighters they have fought are far inferior to the competition that "GREAT CHAMPIONS" fight. They have combined to fight over 80 times. How many REAL DEAL fighters have they fought??? James Toney fought 80 times by himself. He fought champions 20 times in 5 weight classes. That's being a great fighter...

Maybe Hopkins should just STFU and retire. Calzaghe is the biggest name and the biggest moneymaker north of middleweight and south of heavyweight. If not Calzaghe then WHO?

Eubank is the one REAL fighter that Calzaghe fought...I don't argue with Eubank being a good fighter.

I'd love to see what Joe does to Hopkins if they fight.
Taylor threw what.. 500 punches per fight and won pretty clear UDs?
Joe is going to throw 1000+ and give Hopkins hell all night with the in and out movement, let's just see this happend. I'll bank on Joe.

Uh dude... You're not making any sense whatsoever this is an argument you won't win because you were so unbelievably wrong from the getgo. Go troll some other forum.

Rule 1) if people use the phrase "hahahaha" they do not have an intelligent point to make.

That's the problem with Calzaghe fans as a general rule.

You all think so highly of him that you just assume he can beat everyone. It's gotten ridiculous to the point where mediocre champions like Kessler and Eubank have been elevated to the status of all-time greats.

In your on-going quest to vindicate the group delusions surrounding one Calzaghe, you guys will argue anything, facts be damned!

I see no point discussing with you, since you only seem to rank boxers by wich American name fighters they have on their resume. No ill feelings, but from were I stand your logic is so flawed that we will not benefit from a discussion. I mean you don't even give Calzaghe credit for his win over Reid which was a good win not spectacular, but good.

Mind you I'm not British and not the biggest Calzaghe fan.

I don't consider myself a Calzaghe fan honestly. I was impressed with how he handled Lacy but that performance against Kessler was just bleh. And the announcers sucking his balls didn't help either.

Infact, he looked very much like Hopkins, who I am not hot on either. As I said before, ugly ass fight if these two ever hook up.

But you have to give credit where it is due. Lacy was seen as a legitimate threat, so was Kessler. They were not gimmies, even if Calzaghe made it look that way.
