Hopkins says he can make 168lb why is the call for a Froch fight and not Ward ?

Because Hopkins is the only fighter who could actually fight Ward who could show up Ward without being able to beat him (except for Bika). Lose/lose for both of them and wouldn't sell well either. Would diminish both fighters in the eye of the general viewing public.

    Its lose/lose for Ward.

If he wins, hes beaten a 48 year old who everyone will say is drained.

Lose...well, he loses to a 48 year old who everyone will say is drained!

That's the main reason....but would you or anyone else want to see a foul-fest between Hopkins vs Ward. B-Hop vs Froch would be fun.

Ward better polishes his skills as a commentator 'cause it seems there's no fights for him at all, let alone money fights!!

Someone can beat him at 175. Chad Dawson

I'd love to see him fight Froch! Everything points to that being a great fight. I really enjoyed the Cloud fight and Froch is going to bring more than Cloud did.

Anyways... Hopkins and Ward admire each other and seem to be friends. Too much respect.

This is true. Poor Andre. Worked so hard and done so well in the Super Six.... yet no one's interested in him. Winner of Froch Kessler might take him on again though, both believe they could beat him second time round. LOL

    all very TRUE

however, that does not change the fact that Ward would most likely beat Hopkins. Witch was the point of this thread i assume. I believe Ward would beat Hopkins convincingly whereas i believe that Hopkins is such a experienced and skilled fighter at his age he still has a good chance to give Froch a boxing lesson and take a victory.

Because he is a *****, that's why! Boxing is a business and you need to fight the best NAMES out there to get paid good. The people who say that they can't fight because they are "friends" are just plain nuthuggers. I can understand because Ward would beat Hopkins but not because of friendship. Same **** with Broner/Floyd, Pac/Khan at one point, and soon Nonito/Mikey Garcia. The only one that can be excused is the K bros, and to an extent. Who gives a **** if they are friends if they will get paid doing it? Is not as if they are going to stop their "friendship" or if someone is telling them to kill his "friend".

  11. Erm maybe because people have something called common sense which tells us there no possible way for Hopkins to beat Ward. Use some goddamn sense!!

Bhop easily schools Froch for far more money than he would make against Ward. risk/reward . . . is the key to this business. stop crying about an old man trying to get a big payday

Everyone said Hopkins has no shot to beat Calzaghe or Dawson and he took those fights. Hopkins is not afraid to take a risk. However, he's known for making guys look terrible even in a losing performance. I don't think he has any interest in fighting a guy in Ward that he truly respects, knowing that he will make Ward look terrible in the fight.

The obvious answer, Froch sells tickets, who wants to see Ward fight? lol, come on the guy lost to a shoe salesman and won't fight outside of Jokeland, Hopkins and Ward would be an absolute snooze fest. Hopkins needs someone who can sell tickets and Ward can barely sell tickets to his family let alone the general public.
