Total respect for Kelly, saying something that sound so painful - but also that the truth and Pavlik is an honest fighter. It was a horrible defeat, even I was surprised despite predicted a Hopkins decision.
"I got a lesson". Much respect for Kelly and props to Bernard. I never liked him much, be he won at least one fan tonight. PS: This loss is in no way as bad as most poster ALREADY are making it look. But we'll talk about this in another thread I guess.
both guys are class acts, even though bhop carries on like an ass sometimes, in the end he displays good sportsmanship. props to kelly pavlik.
yes it was he was embaressed and was wobbled on atleast 4-5 occasions noticeably. why do you think he wanted to cry after the fight when bhop was talking to him? he knows he was completley schooled and lost so one sidedly it was embaressing. so yes it was a bad loss
Christ what do you want a guy to say. For a boxer that was about as much humility I've ever seen after a fight. As he should have shown to because he was humiliated.
Kelly is a good champion he just got handed the worst styles match possible for him which was a counterpunching, great chinned, crafty fighter with great defense. If he can get down to middleweight again I don't see him losing to anyone including Abraham for at least a couple years. Gotta give Pavlik props, he knows he got beat, and admitted it like a class act. Now it is just time to learn from this, and get better. He will cause he is still young and dedicated.
I meant it's not that bad for his career (people talking about him like he all of a sudden became a useless bum), not that it wasn't a big loss itself. Yes it was a schooling. Who do you think I meant when I said "B-Hop won at least one new fan after this"?
