Regardless of what you think about his racial comments, Hopkins is a good interviewee and an effective promoter.
Say what you want, but Hopkins isn't dividing anyone. All he really did was give people and excuse to root along racial lines, it would've happen regardless.
Joe acknowledges he doesn't think Hopkins is racist and is aware it is all trash-talk.. at about 2:25 of the video he starts talkin about Hopkins' mind games.. [yt]XPMlzQgXKaE[/yt]
I did think it was a bit mad what he said , im not really bothered about it though , not at all actually . He is a great man , his story is great , and he has been a great fighter aswell . Im white from England aswell , just looking forward to a great fight
:-( It would not have. This is not the 70's or 80's man this is 2008 and I race has nothing to do with who I like as a fighter.
I can't talk about individuals, I can only speak in general terms. People are generally going to side with people that they can identify with Sometimes it's by geography, race, religion, whatever. It happens all the time.
Dont wanna get involvd in this because its not a subject im really interested in , but the only people who do what you have just said are normally racist or have something against a certain type of people . Cmon , be reasonable here
Dont really understand that sorry , did you mean they try to justify their racism by saying its because they can relate to them and that
Hopkins should have saved his explanation until after the fight. Bad blood such as this can only make this fight bigger, no need for damage control yet.
no, I meant what BigReg said is how racist people justify their racism. It's an "everybody does it" mentality. No, not everybody does it. People who do it are ignorant and probably not true fans.
