Yeah, many here try to claim that Obama is only where he is because he's black. That's hilarious. There has never been a black president, there have only been 3 black U.S senators(inlcuding Obama), and 2 black Governors in U.S history.

 

again - i do not know who kes is, i have little to no knowledge on bernard manning.

however - if kes's (who?) dad did refer to that fight as good vs evil - then it could simply be due to ricky playing the nice guy act, floyd having the bad guy act on.

if the words white and black were actually used - then i criticise him - he is being racist, and thus should have been condemned. however does that make ricky racist? no. does it make team hatton racist? no.

just like b-hops comments doesnt make GBP a racist company, i feel they should have made some effort to condemn the words, as it helps to push an anti-racist community.

as for the black people in his local pub - there are very few black people who go into any of the 5-6 local pubs. It does not make me, the barmen, or the man who lives on the next street 5 doors down, a racist. it does not portray a racist atmosphere or community.

and for all you know - there may be many black people who are regulars of hattons local. you are speculating - another sign of someone who's argument is flawed, and you know it.

Saying that I would never score lower then a black person on an IQ test is the same as saying that they are less inteligent. Isn't it? its not a harmless comment - calzaghe may not have taken offence, i havent to be honest, i feel he is pathetic.

my criticism is he is promoting racism, and the fact he has recieved no retribution or backlash, is not only astonishing, but down right insulting to everyone's intelligence, when GBP, boxing, and america/uk/europe and the planet as a whole, try to promote an anti-racist community.

That's a stupid example, an IQ test is not a 1 on 1 competition. If someone were to say that they would never score lower than a black person on an IQ test, I would laugh at the irony of said statement. Let me ask you this, what if a white swimmer said "I'll never lose to a black guy"? Now that would be equivlant, and I don't think a big deal would be made out of it. I know I wouldn't give a damn.

Please tell me where I said he was justified? All I did was provide an explanation behind his comment. That is in no way justifying it. I've also never defened his remarks, except to say that it does not make him a racist.

Wrong. He could say w/e he wants. But I could draw my own conclusions from it and call him on it. He's also a pro-athlete and a role model for many young fighters. He should be a little more careful when he opens his mouth.
