Agreed. Shane already picked up Hops clinching every 1o seconds technique... Mosley doesn't need to be corrupted any further than that.
That clinching worked against Marg and if Cotto did that he MIGHT of won. Hopkins being the nut he is will make 24/7 even more watchable than it is. I say let him stay at the end of the day Shane is his own man and he fights 1 on 1 like every other professional boxer.
And if Shane had done less clinching and wrestling against Cotto and opened up with more offense he might've won the Cotto fight. :smoke
Not really, my point was towards Mosley's excessive clinching. He should quit that **** because he doesn't need it... and clinching during the Mayweather fight would probably work against him again since he needs to bang, not hold, when he gets on the inside against Floyd. :deal
Mosley is so ****ing off balance every time he throws his overhand right, its about ****ing time he learned to grab on to something. Im telling, even in his prime, he would throw that monster right hand and have no idea where he was after it
No Cotto would resort to fighting and not boxing like he did against Mosley. Having his uncle in his corner was just that much beneficial to him. But anywho, I do agree with what you say about Mosley's excessive clinching backfiring against Mayweather. Floyd would back up and throw straights all day he should try to nail Floyd with short punches and avoid clinching. My point earlier was that no one clinched against Marg so when Mosley did that it only helped him impose his will and control the fight.
Grabbing is nothing new to Mosley though. He's faced plenty of fighters who don't clinch; Vargas, Wright, De la Hoya, Cotto, Margarito, Extrada, Mayorga, etc., and he manages to wrap them in an occasional wrestling match from time to time... and don't even get me started on the Forrest rematch. One of the worst title matches I have ever seen. :-(
Yeah I felt he tied up Forrest too much because he was still having problems in his mind about the first fight and being dropped.
