This is ******ed. Its a matter of size. Margarito wouldn't be moving up in weight to fight Floyd. Floyd has absolutely nothing that would discourage iron-bearded Margarito from coming in and wearing him down. Margarito is not as slow as everyone says he is, at least not when it comes to moving his feet and putting the pressure. His defensive is highly underrated simply because he takes a good punch. You're going to take some when you come forward and put on that much pressure. There's no possible way that Floyd could avoid him for the entire fight without being able to hurt him and without running out of the ring and Floyd is not big enough to be able to absorb the type of punishment that Margarito would dish out. Floyd had his chance to fight Margarito. There's a reason why he didn't.

No, last nights fight means nothing. Mayweather wouldn't press the action like Hopkins did, and bar Julian Jackson, hitting Margarito isn't going to stop him coming forward.

    Still, PBF by WIDE UD.

Mayweather isnt Hopkins and Margarito isnt Pavlik is that too hard to understand nucca?

    btw STFU NOOB.

Nope Mayweather is faster, a better counter puncher, and a better defensive fighter then B Hop exspecially at this stage right now. Is that to hard to understand. Margarito is definately not Pavlik Margarito doesn't throw straight punches and loses to guys like Santos while Pavlik is the unquestioned best middle weight in the world even though he lost tonight. They both how ever are fighters who only know how to fight and come forward and are always there to be hit. BTW STFU vetran you are obviously to far faded to keep up with what I am telling you.

Margarito would never get smashed up and lose almost every round like Pavlik did tonight though, that was like a sparring session.

Also how is he the unquestioned best middleweight in the world, i question it, i have yet to be convinced he is better than Abraham.

I beg to differ. Hopkins has done this against some of the best offensive fighters of the past 10 years.

Mayweather is awesome, clearly. But being a quick counter puncher down at the lower weights is one thing, but doing it at 170 against the monster puncher in Pavlik is another thing. And at 43 years old! I think it makes Mayweather look foolish, retiring at his physical peak with huge challenges still ahead ;Margarito, Williams, the inevitable return of Miguelito. You can say that Mayweather has proved everything, but so has B-Hop, yet he still keeps trying to prove people wrong. That's what makes a TRUE champion.

Mayweather is/was a great fighter, top 30 of all time. IMO, B-Hop is higher. And I don't mean in terms of skills, their skillsets are different. That's like saying who's the better puncher out of Ali and Julian Jackson. They're both astounding for different reasons, and they do things the other guy can't do.

I like Margarito but I agree you cant beat what you can't hit. And Mayweather is a very smart slick boxer. Like him or not I have to respect the skills.
