Looks like Hopkins-Shumenov is good to go on 4-19 and will be in D.C and not at Barclays or even Texas like had been mentioned.
I'm sorry I don't consider a guy that's 14-1 that lost to campillo (a guy that sergey knocked out in two rounds )that amazing
Should be a nice competitive scrap. Hopkins will no doubt get every benefit from the judges but Shumenov fights at a high pace and could present issues. Particulary if he fights in an ambush style.
bhop is almost 50!!!!!!!!!!! OMG you fkin ******s namely box4life11 need to get a fkin life. go run on the treadmill. just because your 50 and so fat you've never seen your own private parts doesnt mean you can bash bhop. he gets a pass for fighting whoever he wants
BHop is an all time great top 35 p4p boxer, unlike Floyd. It's about time he gets the luxury of fighting guys that are the same level as Floyd's weak opponents. If the p4p number 1 today can fight bums, paper champions, washed up fighters past their primes, hype jobs, padded records, etc. - why can't Hopkins get a few easy fights at the age of 49?
Any European fighter that fights in D.C. needs to get his head examined. Hopkins appears to be counting on using his defense, be standing at the end of the fight and Hopkins' judges will give him the decision, even if Hopkins were to get knocked down in every round, they would take a point away from Shumenov for knocking Hopkins down. This is a set-up by Hopkins, esp. after seeing what happened to Khan. All Hopkins has to do is lay on the ropes and play defense, he doesn't have to throw a punch, that's why he is fighting in DC. I think Shumenov will beat Hopkins, but if it goes to the judges, they will give every round to Hopkins. If I were Shumenov, I would make sure the judges and referee were neutral. Hopkins will probably use Peterson's referee and judges and then there is the bias boxing commission..............
