Nothing to lose and about 5 - 10 million US dollars to gain. Do you think Hopkins will price himself out of the fight? How much will he demand? And will he accept a 50/50 split with Calzaghe?

Calzaghe would need to come in to the fight not too heavy. He needs his work rate to win the fight. I don't believe Hopkins can win this- father time

I hope they start negotiating now. They are both difficult to negotiate with and it will take some time to make the fight happen and to promote it.

    Calzaghe will win no doubt.

I understand that Joe wants to go to the States but the most this fight can attract in the States in 20,000. Millenium Stadium would get 50,000 plus so finacially it makes no sense.

I won't bet against the old man, in the past he already proved himself at the world class vessel even at light heavy and against Winky Wright.
Now I won't go against Joe either, the man was just too impressive lately and he is probably the best challenge out there for Bernard.

Let's see how the old man will manage this one.

That is actually what Hopkins meant when he said he can neutralize any style.

Imo it would be 2/3 chance for Joe, because of the age difference, speed and workrate.
    Prime v Prime = 50/50.
Both are great fighters deserving of respect.

Isn't this the same guy who priced himself out of a fight years ago ducked again last year saying he did not want to fight Calzaghe because he wanted to fight for a HW title before fighting a LM.This fight won't happen Hopkins knows he has little chance at his age.I hope I'm wrong but I think he will ask for stupid money just like Taylor did to weasel out of the fight.

It could be boring and scrappy

The only way i see it as being fun is if Joe beats the living shite out of him

which is possible at this stage in the Old *******s career

BHop will not lose to a leftie. It'll be a fight filled with alot of right hands to Joe's noggin, and that workrate will work against him.

    Calzaghe wins by UD.

I'm excited about this for his Legacy but as a fight, style-wise I'm not getting excited it will be quite boring I think.

Hopkins has to many tricks for Calzaghe.Bhops is a very smart fighter that can adapt to his style in which in reality isn't much but alot of pitty pad punches
