    I've waited a LONG time to see this fight. Just cause Jones got caught doesn't mean they shouldn't do it. I am GLAD Hopkins feels this way, I hope JOnes does too!

    It doesn't matter at this point but it matters in the future when people have the retrospective discussion over who was the better fighter. It's much easier to argue 1-1 than 1-0 (excluding the prime v old factor - that most wouldn't consider as heavily as results themselves).

    Exactly. Having that JOnes name on his record is important for legacy purposes. People 30 years from now will look at their relative ages and it will count in Hopkins' favor. I REALLY want him to take this fight.

    I'm sure he's still interested in it cause he knows he'll steam roll through Jones now! I'm a Hopkins fan though, so I'm down for it haha!

    Makes absolutely no difference now or in the future. Not to people that actually know of the circumstances. People know that Roy's punch resistance went when he dropped down from heavyweight, they also know Roy Jones had the style to beat Hopkins in his prime. It means Hopkins has the better longevity as a fighter, we don't need a fight to prove that.

    I don't think it will happen, Zakman.

    I don't really care to see it.

    It would be a bigger slap in the face to Jones if Hopkins either:
    A. put on an exhibition against Green
    B. stepped up and fought Dawson
    C. take a chance against David Haye

    Hopkins don't need Jones.

    NO WAY should this rematch happen. I'm betting they have NO IDEA what to do over at Golden Boy because this was a big part of their plans.

    Same. It's a great legacy fight, whatever the naysayers think - and a potentially entertaining matchup.

    I feel far more confident than I did this morning it will still happen, and I am PSYCHED about it.
