    Debatable.

Jones never beat Hopkins "in his prime".

It does not help Jones legacy at all. It just hurts him in the long run.

He should fight the man that beat him, if at all.

I don't think it will happen and I don't think it should happen.

I'm as big a Hopkins fan as you will ever come across, but it's more pointless now than it ever was.

Hopkins can still beat legitimate fighters.

    Let Roy retire and rot.

Exactly. Jones has a victory over Hopkins. Time for Bernard to even the score!!!

If Hopkins makes this fight he should be taken straight out The Ring P4P list.

I'm not so sure about that. He looked old and slow to me, particularly in the earlier rounds. And even when he warmed up and shook off some of the rust, he was still not exactly a ball of fire - and this against a mediocre third-tier opponent!!

Haye and Adamek would destroy him, and Dawson would probably box circles on him. He MIGHT be able to beat Bute, who I don't think too much of, but what does that do for his record really.

Like it or not, the name "Roy Jones" will look very good on Hopkins ledger 20-30 years from now. And that's why I want him to take this fight. Plus, I'd love to see what happens.

    Roy needs to retire.

Different subject. Does BHop still think he can beat Haye after tonight? Hehe.

Revenge to a shot fighter doesnt do much for Hopkins. That man he lost to is not the same fighter anymore.

Yeah, and I am SO glad that Hopkins is still calling for it. I hope Jones does too and that they get it on next year!!

The funny thing is Jones will probably rise to the occasion and either UD or KO Hops, shocking everyone and ride off into the sunset - with his legendary status at it's peak.
I know how ******ed that sounds, but stranger things have happened.

I think he wanted to get some rounds in, to be honest.

Yes, his reflexes looked a little slower. Yes, he was getting hit a bit more than we are accustomed to, and yes, he was also missing more often than we are used to. The man IS 45 years old and has not fought since October 2008.

A fight with Jones would be pointless. Roy should NEVER fight again.

Haye and Adamek might well destroy him, but I doubt it.

I take issue with the idea that Dawson can box circles around him--NO WAY!

Hopkins may lose a close one to Dawson, but Chad represents a GREAT style match-up for Hopkins. Yes, he's fast, and that will cause Bernard some trouble, but Dawson does NOT fight every second of every round. He fights in spurts.

This is a perfect fight for Hopkins to be competitive in against a top notch foe. He may get the short end of the stick like with Taylor and Calzaghe, but he could beat Dawson and Dawson would not dominate him.

I like this match-up and suspect this is the fight we will see next.

As a Hopkins fan, I would not MIND seeing it, but I really think it's silly.

    He should fight someone else.

This is as big as a disgrace as John Ruiz's entire career
