Hopkins the most overrated fighter of recent years.

You won't find a bigger Hopkins hater than me. I hate his guts, I don't like him nor respect him as a man. I laughed for days when Hopkins lost both Taylor fights, the look on his face was priceless. I was hysterical when Slappy Joe bum ****ed Hopkins into submission after Hopkins claimed no white boy would beat him. My dick was extremely hard when Kova gave Hopkins the beating of his lifetime in the 12th, I literally jumped for joy. Last night was the cream of the crop though, I literally busted a nut when Hopkins got KTFO and had a big ass piece of glitter on his head complaining like a baby...

But come on, the guy is a LEGITIMATE ATG. He has made history in the sport of boxing and he will forever be remembered as a legend and a first ballot HOF. His resume is stacked with great champions and he has done **** probably nobody will ever do.

 

30 years a champion statesman and diplomat for boxing. no scandalous bull crap, no ducking and dodging fighters, always stepped up to the challenge. I have nothing but respect for bhop.

Um, 30 years ago Hopkins was serving time in Graterford Prison for 9 felonies, chief. Although, he might have been a champion statesman and diplomat for boxing in the clink.

If a man makes 160, usually easily, and then doesn't rehydrate much by fight night, how is that a light heavyweight? Show me fights at middleweight where Hopkins had a huge weight advantage in the ring. He often came into the ring light as well. If you mean shorter, you can say shorter. Shorter and smaller are two separate things though. When his opponents weighed more than him in the ring, was he still the bigger man? You don't have any evidence of drug use. What we have plenty of evidence of, even in his last fight where he got stopped, was that he still had good defense. If he was in his 40s still moving around the ring, and going after guys like he was 34 or 35, that is one thing. That man was the most unathletic guy at light heavyweight since he has been at the weight class though. He got by on ring IQ, counter punching, and defensive technique.

 

He's definitely top 100 easy. A 34 year old Hopkins would have made Golovkin his b!tch. Most boxing fans don't seem familiar with his middleweight days. He was a more aggressive fighter, and very mean. Much more athletic too, although not athletically gifted.

 

As somebody mentioned in a previous thread, a racist wouldn't have taken the time to do what he did for that young white kid who had cancer. Some of you just don't like an outspoken Black man that beat the system, and made a name for himself.

I think you have some type of axe to grind with Hopkins. Probably something you should take up with him personally, instead of making unfounded accusation on a web forum. If you had actual evidence, outside of, damn I don't like that old Black ex con that made it big and has more money than me now, then you may have a point. But you have no proof.

Man what difference does it make how old a fighter is when he's at his best? Who cares who the best 45 year old fighter is? Or who's the greatest older boxer ever.

Who gives a flying ****? I'd rather watch two 28 year old fighters in their prime go to war.

Not watch a gassing fest filled with hugging, clinching, hard breathing and old men.
