Bernard hopkins says in a setanta interview "look into his(joes) eyes over the next few days"
And what?? Does bhop actually think that Joe will wilt under the pressure, does bernard have that little confidence in his own abilties to win the fight IN the ring that he has to resort to intimidation outside it?
Come off it Bernard, Joe wont fall for you childish antics in the lead up to the fight, Joe has always said " you be the bad man in the lead up to the fight, but believe me ILL be the bad man in the ring on fight night"
Joe doesnt need the trash talk and intimidation tactics, he will let Bernard know his thoughts when he connects onto Bhops head and body, actions speak a lot louder than words.
Bernard has employed a top fitness guy, the best computer programmes to monitor his fitness, weight etc and yes for a 43 year old guy he is in good shape, BUT there is a world of difference in fighting a Jermaine Taylor who doesnt exactly pressurise you right through a fight it is well known that JT has some fitness issue and fatigue and goes quiet in rounds and reduces his punch output etc
And also Winky Wright, who looked well out of shape and I was taken by surprise at just how much slower he was with the extra pounds which of course meant he took away one of his best advantages over Bernard, Winky looked flabby slow and lacked ideas in the ring(lacking ideas is not something I wouldn`t usually level at Winky wright.
But now Bernard is going to be facing a guy who is naturally comfortable at this weight, Joe has starved himself for so long to make super middle and has still performed so well even though he must have felt so drained and never showed it.
On saturday night Bernard Hopkins will realise there is a world of difference fighting the likes of a slow winky wright, and a lazy jermaine taylor, and then have someone in his face all night long popping him with jabs, upper cuts, left & rights all night.
I do respect Bernard for his earlier fights a great record that he has built, and enjoyed watching his ring craft, the ability to beat the odds etc,
But on the 19th JOe will be just to good, too fast and relentless.
    Good luck Joe!!!

I think joe will be quite comfortable fighting inside and out,Hops will be surprised at the pace Joe sets and his workrate will ensure a wide UD.Hops is too good and crafty to get ko'd though.
    I cant wait either:happy :good

I agree I do think that Joe will win this on points, however if Joe feels comfortable throwing the big punches and has no ill effects on his hands, we may see a rounds 6 - 9 stoppage I wouldnt entirely rule this out!
If I was to say right now though I would choose a wide ud to Joe

He has had to fight with one hand in fights before after doing the damage in early rounds, however I have heared that he is using slightly different gloves now and they give a bit more protection and he feels comfortable with them, so hopefully no more hand problems!!
He fought kessler with grant boxing gloves and remarked on how well they protected his hands.

Bernard is bigger... But we will have to see if he is stronger.

Most of Calzaghe`s opponents looked bigger than he did. But few were stronger.

Watch Bernard's thighs and rear in the countdown... he's built to wrestle guys around... he's manhandled Tarver easily, he's roughed up really strong guys like Robert Allen and Antwun Echols...

Bernard is a VERY strong individual.

ah, you can watch the mans ass.

allen was a 'c' fighter and echols never proved to be very durable.

hopkins will be sucking air by round 5, he's overbuilt for this one. unless he has a strategy to come out and try and end it early, which would be surprising and very hopkins like, but probably not prudent

bhop his the bigger and stronger and smarter and more experience and has the better resume and the harder fights the joe.

let just be realistic for a change.

joe has the better hand speed and refelxes and stamina.

he will try to win the fight on his workrate, bhop will keep it in the center and fight joe in the pocket.

we just have to see what plan will work, bhop want get koed neither will joe.
i think bhop is to savy and slick for joe.i see counter rights and a nasty inside fight game.

both the fighters are good in the clinch but bhop is way better by far.

Joe looks scared in that Pic. Probably an awkward angle, but still.
