Does anyone know that Tito wasn't knocked out ... his father jumped into the ring and got him disqualified.

Tito was taking too much punishment and suffered a knockdown ... he couldve finished the fight ...

It could be argued to that Tito went down on a push ... because after Hopkins connected he pushed Tito down.

As a Tito fan, this video it's a punishment for me to see it. I remember as it happened yesterday. People in PR were very sad when this happened.

Tito was a good boxer as well ... he thought that he was going to overwhelm Hopkins and his corner kept telling him that he was alright as if they thought that sometime during the fight that Tito was just going to knock Hopkins out ... by the time the championship rounds came ... Tito was out of the fight.

I also thought it was a ***** move by Hopkins not giving an immediate rematch.

I think that at the time Tito had made the neccessary adjustments to make a better fight.

He displayed good foot movement and the ability to duck and pivot against Cherifi

So you're saying that Tito was counted out? ... his father jump into the ring and grabbed him as he was getting up.

Tito connected with everyone on the island almost like he was a direct family member to everyone. When he got owned by Hopkins I had a knot in my stomach. I Just wanted him to finish the fight, it was torture seeing the fight get stopped like that. Tito went out on his shield in that fight, he took a horrible beating like a man, kept going forward until he was absolutely iced by a perfect counter right hand.

His father stopped the fight. He threw in the towel so to say...Tito was not disqualified.

And did it matter...he was being thoroughly outboxed and arguably shutout for the first 11 rounds.

I remember because it was after 911 and the original date was (I believe) Sept 15. It happened two weeks later.

The delay caused me to lose a Byrd-Hopkins parlay that would have paid nicely!

That's what I had thought. Hadn't read this before I posted the same thing.

Regardless, I'll again reiterate my dismay over getting ****ed out of my parlay!
