As Manny Steward would say - that fight turned out just as i expected it would.

I thought it was a good interesting bout and taught some ppl a little lesson about totally dismissing the ability of one fighter.

    Your thoughts

good fight went as planned i thought the SD was a **** call Cal won the fight close but not by SD and the acting by hopkins on those low blows was a disgrace

hopkins is a ****ing joke!to say he schooled joe is just plain delusional, admittedly after th flash knock down i thought he may be really coming to fight.but after joe cleared his head and stayed away from the right hand hopkins was backed up all night and hardly threw a punch!not a pretty fight but a fairly easy win in the end:bbb

Boring fight, Hopkins played his usual game of potshotting and clinching while Calzaghe played his usual game of swarming in slapping. I gave it to Calzaghe by 1 point, i liked Hopkins work better but he just didn't do enough and seemed fatigued in some rounds while Calzaghe pressed the fight throughout.

    Dawson beats both guys :D

I had joe winning quite comfortably in the end, and the SD call was a disgrace.

Hopkins carried on like a goat afterwards too.

Though the fight was a bit harder for Calzaghe than I had anticipated.

Many will now question how this fight would have unfolded had it occurred a few years earlier, and in that sense it's a shame there wasn't a more definitive result, even though I had Calzaghe comfortably up.

Its exactly how i thought the fight would pan out. Nard doesnt throw many punches but when he does he does it for a reason, every second of his time in the ring is planned. I love watching the second half of his career pan out the way it did.

Congrats to that shoe shining motha****a Joe Calslappy. He is adding some nice little names to his resume.

Well I hate to say it but I told everyone I could find this would be a tough fight but Joe would win a close but clear decision. Did not expect the split scoring though :patsch

Those punchstat numbers were bull**** though, Calzaghe didn't land that many punches. I believe Hopkins about the lowblow, he said his cup moved so his balls got crunched and that looks possible from the replay.

I got the Main event coverage, **** that commentator was garbage, he barely said anything and sounded like he was falling asleep, he added nothing to the fight, made a boring fight more boring, said nothing remotely intelligent and ignored everything Hopkins did. I question the old guys eyesight he seems to score rounds on who's moving forwards instead of who's landing punches.

Yeah all we had commontating was Dave "Im All Washed Up" BonTempo.

I had it 114-113 Calzaghe in a close fight that was hard to score at times.

    Lefty I agree totally.

I had Joe winning but not by much but when it comes to the punch stat numbers with Joe it is bull****. He missed probably twice as many as he threw and it was a low blow no doubt but it didnt really have an impact on the fight.

    My thougths mirror yours.
I also thought that even though Hopkins lost, he looked very good.
Joe didn't look as good as normal, however that was because Hopkins made it hard for him to look good.

Much respect for Joe, he did very well.

sorry lefty have to d isagree the old man was tired and needed a 3 minute rest.disgraceful:-(.that was a slight graze to the nuts at the worst.KT took a full blooded blow to the cods off hatton and took less recovery time and carried on like le ss of a skirt wearer than B-hop.
