I think I have pinpointed the problem.

Even if Calzaghe landed on Hopkins, this guy isn't counting the punches.

Nothing to see here guys, let's move along. :drive:

I just want to clarify that while you clearly DO know more than him, he's really a very low bar to surpass ;)

    A slap isn’t a punch.

Yet I know the rules of boxing and you don’t, so where does that place you?

You called Calzaghe ‘King of the super middles’. An argument could never persuade you.

From what I remember Calzaghe basically took over from the 5th. Hopkins couldn’t handle the pace

I personally deducted 3 points from Hopkins for holding, so I guess it balances out ;)

That’s what I remembered as well, then I watched it again. The commentators and Hopkins body language gave that impression but when you objectively watch the action, Hopkins was still doing the better work and winning the rounds.

For anyone who disagrees... a very simple challenge. Tell me what rounds Calzaghe allegedly won and we can analyse those rounds closely. Nobody has taken me up on that yet, why is that?

Calzaghe won by the skin of his teeth but he looked awful and slapped his way to victory with terrible technique.

All this fight proved was Andre Ward would have handily beaten Calzaghe using superior skill and movement that Hopkins no longer had.
