I believe that hopkins would really come unstuck against tommy. the hitman had too much reach for hopkins to negate.

i fancy tommy by late round ko

there's only 3 mw fighters who i think bernard couldnd't beat. Jones jnr, robinson and hearns

I don't know if anyone can out box Tommy or not...But Bernard has as good a shot as anyone. I would lean towards a B-Hop UD (or late stoppage). I like Tommy in the rematch how ever. I believe Tommy adapted well in Leonard II, Barkley II....and think that it might take him a fight and an adaption to his first attack plan....But in a 1 time fight put me in the minority (probably) and give me Hops

What is Hearns 2 inches taller than Hopkins? He must be 4 inches taller than SRL,what happened there?Hearns was a fine boxer ,but could be held at middle. Hopkins isnt my favourite guy ,I think he,s a little overated ,but I dont see Hearns stopping him.

I don't think Hopkins could Haglerize Hearns. So I see a Hearns UD here.

Hopkins via late TKO. He has the ability to keep away from Hearns jab, although thats a tough nights work. Hearns could still hit at middleweight, but Hopkins' chin would stand up to his power. I feel that Hopkins has enough power to dispatch Hearns. Once inside with compact hooks he'd probably have Hearns all over the place.

Hearns' boxing ability must be respected in this match-up. Hopkins' intelligence and durabilty would get Hearns in the end.

it all depends on the referee. if the ref is clocking hopkins dirty tactics, I say hearns wins by landslide. but if hopkins is allowed to do his thing i don't know

I think it would go to decision, not sure who.

I see Hopkins being careful with Hearns and trying to counter, I think he would respect his power too much to try to war with him like he did sometimes with lesser guys like Echols.

Hearns speed, reach and power would be hard to over come, along with his boxing skills. Hops always has some tricks though so its hard to say.

Hopkins by UD or a late stoppage wouldn't be too shocking in this match up. Hopkins is definitely not winning the fight by out boxing Hearns, but by simply bringing the fight to Hearns and roughing up him up. Hearns never did like to be roughed up an gassed out in the later rounds, two things that Hopkins are a master of taking advantage of with his excellent condition an physical game that he employs on his opponents. Hopkins rough tactics, natural size and strength would tell the outcome of this fight. Hearns would win the early rounds with his natural pure boxing skill and talent. Mid rouns on as Hopkins starts to adjust, he starts to back, rough up, muscle and stop a gassed out Hearns in the later rounds.

12 rounds- Hearns. I believe his reach would play a big part.

15 rounds- Hopkins. His rough housing would take its toll, with him stopping tommy late.
