I pick Hopkins over lacy by decision or late stoppage Kessler tried to box with calzaghe and he couldn't Hopkins should fight the fight that kessler should have. I think that kessler is too good of an athlete to get beat by hopkins. Unless there is a freak cut or something.

Hopkins is far too skilled for Lacy and shuts him out and/or stops him. Same thing for Kessler.

I pick Kessler over every SMW today and over Kelly Pavlik 7 days a week, but there's no way he'd stop Hopkins, he couldn't even stop Mundine. Hopkins takes a punch as well as anyone, and avoids punches better than anyone. Kessler, like Taylor, decisions current Hopkins with power and activity.

Prime Hopkins stops Kessler. Hopkins was a big middle weight and could've easliy stepped up to SMW. The guy who fought Echols, would TKO Kessler if Kessler fought aggresively.

Lacy's just a hype job, no real ability to get his punches off, no jab and no defense to save himself. He's got great power and a hard head that's all. He gets decisioned by the top 10 SMW's today. There's a reason he fought Tyspko instead of Mundine for a title.

To try and throw Lacy a bone .. he took his weight lifting way too far ... a short SMW who is almost completely muscle-bound isn't exactly the optimal recipe for success

Lacy would look like a lost puppy dog. However, Kessler would beat Hopkins right now.

Never ever put Lacy and Kessler as close as a /.

    Hopkins UDs Lacy
    Kessler UDs Hopkins

Hopkins just beat, very convincingly (I had Winky winning 3 rounds), Winky Wright... and people speak as if he was completely shot. Winky the puzzle, the same Winky nobody could figure out. Hopkins did.

He's slowed down, no doubt, but he's adapted. He's thrown a good amount of punches in his last fight, around 700 if my memory serves me well. Which was more than Winky who usually throws a lot.

Bernard beats both convincingly, in his prime AND now.

People are going to be shocked how shot Hopkins looks and there is a reason for that - he IS shot

Kessler destroys him, perhaps worse than Joe is going to

Winky looked like a fat old midget at 170lbs So there was nothing impressive in that victory. You gotta look at who the fighter they beat was like on the night. Not how famous his name is.

Bernard made him look like ****.

And he also looked like ****...

Popkins didn't make his footwork bad. His feet looked like they were stuck in glue, they never moved. He was incredibly sluggish. Probably something to do with how fat and so far past his physical peak he was. This is a guy who was at his best at 154

Ask yourself how that Winky-Wright fairs with any of the top LHW's

Certainly not against a mover and shaker like Calzaghe.

Hopkins would also shut Lacy out, but not as impressively - it was the speed which was most impressive IMO, both of hand and movement around the ring.

I would say that is the biggest 'outclassing' of any favourite by the so called underdog in the history of sport.

OK you get upsets, say in football or rugby, where the pitch is **** and the referee has a shocker, but not in boxing so much.

He made Lacy look like a D- club fighter, let alone a world champion.
