and after that the old St. Bernard is gonna ride off into the sunset, according to Lem Satterfield over at the Scene

"I mean, gimme Pascal, Dawson and Bute and I'm gone," said Hopkins.

He has promised to retire in the past but with those three fights he feels he would be satisfied enough to walk off and hang up the gloves.

Certainly three intriguing fights. So how would Hopkins fare in these, alleged, final fights of his career?

if he were to win those 3 fights he perhaps has a shout as being classed as an ATG.

The way he performed against Pascal you can't say a word against it. I just don't see him going through all 3....maybe 2...i don't see Bute happening tbh.

HoF'er yes, but at the moment an ATG?

suppose its up for debate, but I wouldn't say he is imo.

Wouldn't surprise me if Bute and Pascal fought and he took on the winner.

Sorry but you don't become one of the greatest of all time for only 3 or 4 top level fights. One of Britain's all time greats I guess but Calzaghe barely offered the world anything in boxing terms.

I'm a huge Calzaghe fan and have been from the days since he fought Eubank, but an ATG?

Sorry mate but I can't go there and give him that.

Dawsons got dibs on Pascal next fight. Hopkins has ducked Chad for years there not fighting anytime soon.

WBC have ordered a rematch for Hopkins-Pascal.

By all accounts Dawson has the contract for a rematch next.

Pascal wants Hopkins next and is then happy to face Dawson.

Essentially, Dawson should get a tune up fight in as well and earn some money to pay off those that all have the fingers in the pie as well.

Pascal will have to pay step aside money to Chad if that fight actually happens. Hopkins is the easier fight for him. Dawson could do with a keep busy fight looked rusty against Pascal Bute is a perfect match up for him personally.
