I was wrong, Joe Calzaghe is still number one P4P.

His comfortable victory over Hopkins proves this, now we see the real value of that win over an old man.

Hopkins was in better form against Calzaghe, it is just Calzaghe countered him with ease every time he took a step forwards. Calzaghe's schooling was embarrassing for Bernard. Calzaghe made him scared to fight.

I'm beginning to think it was actually a prime Hopkins who competed with Joe Calzaghe.

Prime Hopkins vs past his prime Calzaghe exactly and he still won by 4 rounds.

Pac #1? After DLH knocks him out Joe will be undisputed #1 p4p, unless Roy beats him.

Not even Hopkins thinks he's in his prime.

How could have beaten a shot Hopkins?

Shot fighters don't come back and shut people up and put on a clinic, that comment is just ******ed and stupid.

Why not? Muhammad Ali did it against Leon Spinks.

The biggest win on Calzaghe's resume is not his own win...It's Hopkins win over Pavlik.

Not buying that logic. When the debris settles and the dust gets swept off after both the Calzaghe/Jones and Pac/ODH fights, we'll know who gets placed where. But Pac doesn't lose his spot to a guy that he's been ahead of when that guy hasn't been active since the last rankings were disclosed.

    Ring Mag ranking btw.

The reason why this was and could be such a lopsided fight was that Hopkins didnt need all the skills he had in his prime. He just needed the ones he's held onto in old age, and they all proved perfect weapons in breaking down Pavlik. There are not many opponents whom that would be true, but Pavlik was just a sucker for the footwork and timing that are the trademarks of Hops game now that he's too old to be the complete package he once was. Against Calzaghe, and most other fighters, this would not be such a 'perfect storm'.
The original analysis of Calzaghe Hopkins still holds true. Hopkins fought well for the first half of the fight but then stopped fighting the second half. He faded pure and simple. Nobody objective person thinks that Calzaghe would stand a chance against Hopkins. It would be a shutout Howard Joppy style.

Do you even know what shot means?

Hopkins looks nothing like a shot fighter, he is just old, you do realise there isn't just prime and shot.

Sometimes i wonder how stupid people can be
