Adamek has grown into a very nice Cruiserwt. It took time. You just don't put on 25 lbs overnight & fight at your best.

Whatever weight B Hop would be for this fight really doesn't matter. Adamek is a better overall technician then Pavlik, so it won't be ez for Hopkins.

I think Tomasz would stay on top of him & lose many early rounds. But as the fight wears on, BH will tire & the pressure will increase from Adamek & it could get ugly for you Hopkins fans.

Interesting fight. Adamek fears no one. And if he's considering moving to HW to further establish his legecy, I'm sure the idea of beating a legend like Hopkins will intruige him greatly.

I am not sure how Hopkins stamina will hold up at Cruiserweight.

.....Even when there's a soft target with moderate defense. Agreed, the waiting is Adamek's single major flaw. Hopkins has said he'll weigh between 180 and 185 on the night, so the weight isn't far off either. Of course that's 15 pounds in Adamek's favor, which makes things further interesting.

hopkins weighed 180 for pavlik and if hes smart he'll come in 185-190 for this so his own weight won't be that much of a factor

Loew claimed Hopkins weighed 187 recently on Setanta.

According to HBO Hopkins was 180, and I agree with that likelihood.

Once again, during fight Adamek-Dawson is polish corner was Buddy McGirt and he is the reason of Tomek's loss. He couldn't preapre him well and give him any proper advice. Many of you had fun of BMcG here on forum, but can't realise or don't know why Adamek boxed so lame then now you've got the answer.

Since the beggining in the ring, Adamek had been training by Gmitruk until Ulrich fight. Then happend that Buddy started to handle him until Dawson fight. Now Adamek is back with Gmitruk, all Adamek's fights in CW was prepared by them both (A&G) and you all can see how well Adamek is doing in the ring. For example, two last fights could show that tactic prepared by Adamek team was much better than against Dawson, smarter and patiently done. Therefore I'm sure that BHop-Adamek would not look the same and thinking that another fight will look alike is pointless. Of course I realise that Adamek may be defeated, but I also hope that Adamek can knock Hopkins out. As I wrote in some previous thread ... UD Hopkins or KO/TKO Adamek, but I'm gonna vote for Adamek cuz he's polish as me and I want him to win.

    greetings,

ive no doubt that loewe did say that but i'm also in no doubt he's jus trying to divert attention away from the awful performance he gave in the corner that night

    Hopkins would beat Adamek.

Adamek is just a bigger slower version of Pavlik.

I don't think the wieght's an issue at all; Hopkins just trains as he always does, the only difference being he doesn't have to cut at all for the weigh in. Adamek's a former LHW anyway, so it's not like Bernard's going to be up against a HW who's cut down to 200.

Any extra pounds aren't going to work to the advanatage of a man who'll look to fight off the back foot and counter all night anyway.

Adamek is not in Hop's class. Adamek is lucky to have faced Cunningham who at the time was coming off a long lay off. I'm not convinced Adamek can beat Steve again. Adamek has heart, but that won't help him against Hop. Going to heavy is career suicide for Adamek. At 32, if Adamek is indeed contemplating going to heavy, his days are numbered as a fighter...with his big Frankenberry head...lol, kidding!

B-Hop will work his magic again, moving just enough to not let Adamek touch him with anything effective and putting his own hands on the slower bigger man. The size does concern me a bit going into the later rounds for Bernard, but I think that if he dominates like he did in the Trinidad and Pavlik fight he'll definitely pull through in the later rounds to make history.
