I'm going for B-Hop on UD. I think he can outbox Ademek just as much as Cunnigham did...

Some of us arent fortunate enough to have every fighter we root for never lose.

    You are lucky:thumbsup

Hmmm.... Adamek does not fight backward because he either stand
still waiting for counter punching or go for total war. I don't think Hopkins
has anything which could force Adamek to fighting backward :huh or participate in brawling.
The way I see this is Hopkins is fighting backward all the time countering more aggressive Adamek.

The best scenario for Hopkins is to pull out Dawson, but
more probably he will end like Cunningham or in worst scenario like Banks.

What a bull**** , adamek throws around 1000 punches per fight , u saw only his one fight against banks(where it was about tactic) and trying to act like u know somethin ,check cun/briggs etc fights plx ,

and to those of u , who thinks adamek wont be able to even touch bernard cuz of bern's speed ,blok tehniques etc , just tell me why then prettyfast cunningham(for cw) (very good footwork) did kiss the floor 3 times in their match?

and dont tell me cunningham has a glassjaw , cuz ive seen him fighting vs marco huck, where he took loads of point blank punches on his face and didnt fall anytime

I know cunnighun is no bernard hopkins but i can see many similiarities ,

Bring it on i say :fire

Are you kidding me with this post?

1000 punches a fight? What do you give credit for 5 punches thrown for every 1 power punch or something? Vs Cunningham he didnt even throw 500 (480 total actually).

If you see similarities between Hopkins and Cunningham, I suggest you go and get your eyesight checked. They are NIGHT AND DAY in terms of style and strengths.

    :patsch

    As for the fight.

Adamek is a good strong fighter with good timing and great power. He has nice workrate when he decides to throw, as he can put his punches together well in combination up and downstairs.

BUT, he has bad defense...doesnt move his head or body at all...and bad footwork, where he tends to be right in front of his opponent all day long. Keep in mind he will be going against the fighter who is pretty easily argued as the best in the game in terms of timing and accuracy. This doesnt bode well at all for Adamek, as he will be led and countered all night long.

Adamek also has slow hand speed (good for CW due to his good timing...but not good handspeed). Hopkins is also arguably the best defensive fighter in the game. His use of angles and movement is LEAGUES above anything Adamek has ever seen...and lets not forget, when Banks used his movement and showed even slight angles, Adamek could not pull the trigger...and when he did, he was counter effectively early. What would make us think that someone who is 100x better than Banks at both of these things could not do it more often and more effectively?

The only way I see Adamek beating Hopkins is by stoppage. The only way that is going to happen is if he can tire him...but with his lack of output against someone with even slight movement ability, the chance of that happening are slim to none. Not to mention that Hopkins chin is ****ing GRANITE (albeit against lesser punchers than Adamek, but with the way he always tucks his chin on defense and offense, combined with his use of movement and angles, also again combined with his defensive skill vs Adamek's lesser output...he isnt going to ever come close to tiring Bernard).

Hopkins is going to win this one in SPECTACULAR fashion. Something in the range of 10-2 or shutout. He is just on another level in every single style matchup that will matter come fight night.

And I have NO IDEA why people keep bringing up the size issue...Adamek is a smaller CW anyway.

You guys think Adamek will be the odds favorite in this one?

I think the odds will be kinda 50/50....

Its probably gonna be like 1.90 Adamek and 2.15 Hopkins imo but it will be interesting ;p

Paul briggs 2nd fight- 987 punches, u can check other 12 rounds fights , cunninghum fight wasnt great for adamek if we talk about number of thrown punches, anyway its not about the figures ,but, about the point the guy that i quoted had made. and its wrong , adamek IS an active fighter, that hits much

as for the hopkins/cn similarities , maybe it sound wrong , but i meant basic features, like: speed , footwark ,clinches(though cun didnt clinch much vs adamek)

Anyway adamek will make him retire sooner or later(cuz as i heard he wants to fight in poland first)

It depends on how hopkins carries the weight... Will he lose his speed and power?? Can't make a prediction on a fight like this and betting money is out of the question.

I'd like to see Hopkins win the CW title and win comfortably, and I think he could.

He said recently he's be around 185 if he fought Adamek. He was around 180 in 2008 against Calzaghe so I think he would carry the weight well.

If you think Adamek is slower than Pavlik, you must not have seen Adamek fight.

I'll take BHOP...Banks was landing nice shots on Adamek...BHOP is faster and smarter..He could land some good punches..He'd have to come in between 185-195 to be able to handle the strength of Tomas...If he does that he wins a wide ud 117-111 IMO

Dawson beat him and though Chad is more physically gifted than BHOP...BHOP is smarter and knows how to box!
