This post is 100% on point...people down talk Taylor for not ko'ing these guys, but it was more so the styles of these fights rather than his power...flip side, I don't think Pavlik is a super hard puncher, I think he just hit hard enough and throws enough punches to wear it wears someone down eventually. I can't see him hitting BHop clean all night...I think everyone will be pretty surprised next Saturday...I won't be.

I think Pavilk's power is being overrated a bit here, the guy is definitely heavy handed and likes to load up his right hand bombs but i wouldn't say he is a monster puncher. He does serious accumulation damage but he hasn't exactly been stopping solid chinned fighters with single shots or anything.

Writing off eastman ? Because he's british? The fella is a banger and had a good outing against B-hop. Taylor too is a very good puncher. He put your darling Pavlik on his arse!

Even at this stage of his career Hopkins is still pretty crafty and still packs a decent punch to Hurt you , I think those two thing alone will keep Pavlic honest that he will not be foolish enough to try a KO someone as tricky as hopkins.

I half think you're just intelligently trolling with all of the nonsense you post.

No disrespect to Hopkins, he's one of my favorite fighters, but that whole scenario reminds me so much of Jean Girard from Talladega Nights.:D

HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA:lol: Laughter is the best medicine. But seriously:nono Using your statistical logic I guess Valuev is the second best fighter of all-time, next to Marciano of course.

Why do people act like Trinidad didnt carry his power to middleweight? Ask friggin' joppy who was nearly decapitated by every punch trinidad through yet he still went all 12 with natural MW's like taylor and hopkins.

Ruiz is hardly a big puncher either, and when did Tarver do that to any other elite fighter. Exactly ! that was simply a lucky punch against a well below par RJJ, this does not make Tarver a big puncher.

Eastmans power was so great that BHOP could not even remember that he fought him. Before the Calzaghe fight BHOP kept saying that he had never beat down on a brit. Maybe he is getting old and forgetfull.

Who says Pavlik is a puncher at 170? he didn't knock out Taylor when the fight was at 166. I'll take Tarver over Pavlik as a puncher at lightheavyweight any day of the week, he's a much bigger guy and he abused Harding, something Roy Jones, Glen Johnson and Chad Dawson weren't even close to doing (and obviously destroyed Jones with one punch).
