do you think the crowd in vegas on April 19th will be pro calazaghe or pro hopkins, take into consideration how loyal british fans are to their fighters and how many are coming,b hops comments about the white boy thing (dont find it that big of a deal, and i am lilly white) and also the reputaion b hop has a dirty fighter,or will hopkins have the home crowd because of the whole national anthem thing with ricky.also do you think this could work to either fighters advantages,i know both are top notch professionals, but adrenaline is adrenaline.thanks for the opinions

Pro Calzaghe crowd of course but consider Hopkins in hostile environments - facing the four sides of the crowd in MSG for the Tito fight, fighting Hoya in Las Vegas, against Mercado in Ecuador and 9 thousand. What I have said plays for Hopkins as Calzaghe will feel the support but knows he's on foreign soil... The adrenaline and tension will affect Calzaghe's performance for sure, and will somehow motivate Hopkins to go a lil bit beyond the boundaries of possibilities - that is the medicine turning against him that Hops talked about, make him move up to a new weight and play the challenger at foreign soil.

Hopkins has no problem being the underdog or hated fighter.

Well they've reserved a 19,000 seater arena. Still lots of tickets left.

Boxing (the live crowds) is dead in America, 19k tickets...laughable.

Oscar - Mayweather had nothing to do with boxing, so that sold out quickly.

Pro Calzaghe. Because Hopkins is a douche.

How much do tickets for big fights in Europe usually go for?

How much American interest is there in this fight. I was thinking it would be a sell out with all the A Listers ringside pretty much like Hatton V Mayweather. Am I way off the mark?

Hopkins does well vs. hostile crowds...

    same with Mayweather...

Hostile crowds force his adversary to create the show. Bernard don't have to please people who boooh him anyway.

Calzaghe will loose his cool in there, I can guarantee that... He'll pull a Hatton and pow, over.

  15. There will be a lot of guy's there from the UK there to cheer their man on and no doubt that will pump Calzaghe up, it won't really matter thou, Hopkins at 43, will not be able to keep pace or deal with the punch out put Calzaghe will bring, that old ******* will get whipped by the "white boy"" in just 17 days and i can't wait..
