This fight is posted on boxrec. Is it going to be at super Middleweight or Lightheavyweight? Does Hopkins still hold a title? If it is at Light Heavy would you like to see Roy fight the winner? What about Roy fighting Clinton Woods in a rematch? Or maybe Montell Griffin in a rubbermatch?

    Light Heavy

Hopkins doesn't have a title other than the Ring

Roy could fight the loser after Joe beats Hopkins and it would still be a good fight with alot of interest.

Forget Clinton Woods the money is not there.

    Forget Montell Griffin also.

No.... Nooo... NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. Why should Cal get a easy win vs RJJ. That is a easyyyyyyy fight for Joe and at this point in his career he NEEDS to fight Bhop or else when he's mentioned in the future there will always be that " He ran from Bhop" because Bernard really wants it. Sure the fans of Wales want him to pound Jones into retirement but certainly not real fight fans.

Add in Woods for an end of year fight and that's probably the best scenario for Joe. If he feels and performs good at 175, there's no reason he shouldn't have 3 fights this year as he won't have to kill himself to make weight.

Rumour is Hopkins vs Calzaghe at the Thomas & Mack.

I still like to see Calzaghe take on the winner of Pavlik/Taylor.

Agreed why not a rubbermatch with Griffin or really test his mettle and see if he can beat Woods again. If he wins he'll have a title and it would make the winner of Calz-Hopkins a more marketable fight. It would also give Roy a bigger purse demand. (If he can beat Woods again)

Bernard doesn't bring more to the table than what Jones showed us yesterday ! At 43, B-Hop won't be more active in a fight against Calzaghe and will be just as overwhelmed if not more.....

Jones-Calzaghe has as much to offer as Calzaghe-Hopkins at this stage...

I agree I have JC winning on pts ..I don't see Hops outworking him..

What I also don't get is how people think JC will just walk right through Jones ..I don't consider him that big of a puncher I put him on par with Winky Wright ..If you want to get Jones respect you better have some pop to keep him at bay ..With out that equalizer I don't see why Jones wouldn't take a chance ..JC could beat Jones more becuase his age but I don't think its as easy as some people think ..

Hopkins would dominate Roy at this point and even if he loses to Calzaghe he still brings alot more to the table than Roy

Don't forget how easily Hopkins beat Tarver. Roy may rely on natural ability but Hopkins relies on learned skills and brains which doesn't fade as easily

For those who have already rightfully forgotten who this "Tarver" is, here is a reminder: Roy's daddy - FOREVER!
