Haven't seen it since it happened, but I scored it as JC winning by 2 or 3 points.

calzaghe won by hairs breadth by life and death split decision versus his gasses 40something opposition, after losing the first half of the fight whilst Hopkins still had gass and outboxed joe at will.

 

I bet on Hopkins to win that night. I was so confident he had the style to beat Calzaghe and nullify his punch output.

Joe clearly beat him. He just outworked him with his punch output.

 

How can anyone score the fight for Hopkins when he did so much holding, clinching, grabbing, wrestling, faking low blows etc. :huh

He should have been docked a point or even DQed it was an awful fight to watch because of Hopkins. People complain about Wlad and Floyd but they don't do near the clinching and grabbing that Hopkins did in this fight. It was a joke.

 

People who think Hopkins won, need to be taken outside and shot in the face.

However I personally do not think anyone actually believes that, and because Hopkins got closer than most, it's a way for the butthurt people to discredit Joe.

 

Joe slapped the shi- out of Hopkins that night. He completely humiliated him

 

hopkis hit joe at will in the face until he gassed and joe just about did enough to life and death split decision crept back into his 40something opponent with massive amounts of wild weak blows for rounds and rounds that eventually BARELY only just overcome the points deficit.

 

A shot Joe moving up in weight, traveling to Hopkins back yard out-landed Hopkins every round. Deal with it Berol. :hi:
