Only if Pavlik had beaten a SMW like Bute or Mundine or Froch v. Inkin winner, though...beating a big MW is not more impressive than beating Bute say, in itself, even if Pavlik is better p4p.

Well Pavlik would own Carl so I that could happen.

Bute would need to improve his defence a bit to face a big puncher in Pavlik to be 100% sure of the win.

    Mundine would outpoint Pavlik.

Legacy is not about beating the best fighters it is about beating the fighters who are perceived to be the best, :good

I simply listed his accomplishments. They're supposed to make him look better.

How is his victory over Trinidad extremely overrated? Trinidad had already won a couple of titles at 154, won a title at 160, and was the favorite in this fight. If anything, this is an underrated victory. As far as De La Hoya, this victory isn't overrated either. No one gave Hoya a shot in this fight, and no one gives Hopkins much credit for the win. Finally, why would I focus on negatives when listing someone's accomplishments?

What's the matter with you? Why are you trying to reason with a delusional fanboy?

Hell, he can't even commit himself to vote against his beloved Calzaghe!

You and Amsterdam are the oposite for each fighter.

You love Hopkins. Amsterdam loves Calzaghe.

Difference is that Calzaghe is going to **** Hopkins up, :yep

Trinidad struggled with Vargas and arguably lost to DLH, at 147 and 154 respectively, he's proven 1 dimensional, extreme style advantage for Hopkins.

Trinidad even going into the fight with proper analysis doesn't seem like anything that should be troubling legit top class MW's.

That's why it's overrated. His win over Johnson is better, it was more destructive.

Considering he didnt have a Promotoer like Frank Warren protecting his A-hold all his career I have far more respect to what B-Hop has accomplished.

Can you imagine Frank Warren Promoting Hopkins from the start of his Career.....its a scary thought. Hed have a padded record like Calfagi.

It's a shame that Calzaghe's biggest win would be against a 43 year old man(assuming he does win).

    Actually, neither is really true.

I don't hate Calzaghe, and have enjoyed watching his fights. Ditto Hopkins.

You can say I've grown into a bit of a fan of both fighters, but I just find the Calzaghe fans to be insanely hysterical.

Like I said, they are a delusional bunch, much like the Manson family, wherein Amsterdam plays the part of Charlie and his loyal lacky, Debacal, fancies himself in the role of Squeeky.

    Way ahead.

Calzaghe would have a prime undefeated, natural SMW elite.

A prime, undefeated(most likely), natural LHW elite.

A prime, undefeated(hmm), natural MW-SMW, sub-elite who conquered one of his guys who beat him, it would also be fun and quick.

Hopkins have any of those as wins? No.

You can't compare Trinidad to Kessler and Pavlik level natural elite SMW-LHW's as potential competition.
