Hopkins vs. Clazaghe: Who's the more accomplished fighter

Calzaghe will be ready for that. If he falls into that trap and Hopkins wins on a cut, Calzaghe will have been outsmarted in my book, to a certain extent; on the other hand, in itself, that kind of win would prove little; Bika could have opened a cut on Calzaghe ad it wouldn't have proved he was better p4p, right?

 

I'm not saying it's right...just that I'm saying it's possible.

Hopkins is crafty much like how Holyfield was crafty. If Bernard thinks a cut on a butt will give him an edge, He'll try to get it.

Hopkins will do whatever it takes, especially since he's past it physically.

 

Cannot see that happening; at least less likely than a TKO. Hopkins will do whatever it takes to last 12 - this will be his victory. He will grapple, hold, hug, take time out in any way he can, inclding have points taken off to gain some time, if that's what it takes to survive.

 

Calzaghe knows that. He has to be ready for it. No excuses.

 

Again, you seem to be the only Calzaghe fan here to presume that a win over Hopkins would mean that much, at this stage! :conf

 

Reg by using the there is no defining standard for what constitutes a big win garbage, you render the argument fromboth of us null and void as none of us can ever be right.

A big win in my eyes has to be a mixture of a good fighter and a bit of a name, if you beat a great underrated fighter nobody will give a ****. If you beat an bviously overrated fighter then people will start withthe excuses.

Hopkins wont be Calzaghe's biggest win because he is not a great fighter anymore. No where near. He is a top 5 LHW H2H plus the name = a decent win. Nothing more
