Hopkins vs. Cloud

Hitting an opponent while he's down? How about jumping out of the ring and quitting against Robert Allen. Or faking low blows against Calzaghe. Or faking a shoulder injury against Dawson. Or the headbutts, rabbit punches, and excessive clinching? That's perfectly acceptable behavior?

 

Not to mention Hopkins hitting on the break and rabbit punch combination against Antwun Echols which sent him to canvas.

 

LOL. Mills Lane pushed him through the ropes. He didn't jump. He said he injured his ankle when he fell out of the ring. He would have been stupid to fight on. That version of Allen had handspeed, counter punching, power, footwork, and dirtyness. He put Hopkins in headlocks, and hit him. He also rubbed his laces into Hopkins face during the clinch, and landed a low blow or two. Hopkins was actually fighting a fairly clean fight through four rounds. I thought Hopkins was ahead 2-1, but he was definitely in a fight. Allen was fast and quick enough to counter Hopkins at times, which made Hopkins less aggressive/more patient, waiting to pick his spots. Better to call it a night, then come back on a bum leg and get beat.

 

Cloud is going to KO him. You heard it here first.

I like your gig and all, so Im not gonna argue with you, but the Sunday after just make a thread titled, "Rep I should have listened and not gone full ****** on a fight involving a 50 year old man". Hopkins USED to be a better fighter, but dude it's ****ing over, the man is done. I mean bro he is damn near near 50, use your head here. He's gonna try and make it ugly, hold and head butt, all that ****...I get it. Problem is Cloud is too strong, too rugged, and isn't gonna be intimidated. Hopkins best chance is try and get Cloud DQ'd.

 

Lol...yeah seems we had this same tired routine for weeks leading up to Dawson beating the **** out of the old man. Bro, Hopkins is done, I thought you would have learned something from the Dawson fight that you were so sure about. The man is 48 years old, he's gonna again get his **** pushed in, big time bro.

 

Cloud is not great of a fight but I feel i should give bonus points for bhop bc he is fighting someone young and decent.

 

I'm not even picking Hopkins to win, infact i'm sure he's he's done myself as his offense has almost vanished apart from the odd lead right but my point is that you'll always see SouthpawJab and his likes (in this case happens to be a Roy Jones groupie) constantly trying to belittle Hopkins all out of the anger that he's still relevant while the likes of Jones are rapping for cash in Russia.

 

Cloud will make it interesting for 4 rounds than Hopkins will find his range, Cloud will gas with all those popcorn muscles and Bernard will cruise.

This will be Hopkins easiest fight since Pavlik. If not for Don King getting Cloud a paper belt why view Cloud any different than Ornelas?
