Hopkins vs Dawson, how much are you looking forward to this one now?

Should be good if it goes 12 rounds. Think Hopkins can do it.

 

I agree. But Bernard sees guys like Kessler and Froch and something mentally tells him they are warriors who might not have that one weakness he looks for. Dawson has some weakness which Bernard looks to exploit and play mental games with. On paper this fight here would easily be won by Chad. Even 6 years ago Taylor beat Hopkins and Calazghe a few years ago. The blueprint is there. The one thing. Hopkins does do well with southpaws like Wright and Tarver. He has a nice sneaky lead right which works well with them. Maybe that might be a key as the fight goes on. Chad has to try and jab a lot and land his straight left and try to hurt Hopkins and get him knocked out. Bernard is great at exploiting guys. So who knows. Hard fight to pick.
One thing I have seen in the style of Dawson which Hopkins will exploit. Dawson backs up in exchanges and he can be hit with a 3rd punch which would be a left hook and he keeps that right low. So you I know Hopkins sees that, so Dawson has to be quicker and land his punches so Hopkins does not control the exchanges.

I can't wait. This is the Dawson we need to see more of. Completely motivated, supremely confident, and in no mood for games. Don't really care who wins, just wanna see a good fight.
