Dawson, clear decision. He's too fast and rangy for Hopkins, and he wouldn't make the mistakes Calzaghe made early in their fight (which I thought JC won easily, anyway).

At this point Dawson. Too much height, reach, speed, and strength. Maybe if both men were 29 and met at 160 lbs it would be different but Hopkins isnt aggressive and fast enough to beat Dawson now.

Fighting Dawson isnt a low reward fight for Hopkins, but it is a high risk fight for Hopkins. A fight that he will lose. Dawson would get Hopkins more money then a fight with Pavlik got him, and maybe even one with Jones. I say maybe because alot of people may buy that fight on name value.

Man Jones and Hopkins really ****ed the dog on this one. From about 1997 to about 2003 this was the hottest fight that could have been made. They ****ed it up, now they come to the fans with this ****. Way overdue, and unlike Wine its not finer with time. **** this fight, I kinda wish they could kick each other out and retire together, and this coming from a guy that was a huge fan of both men for many many years. They have ****ed up more then a few great fights in the past 6 or 7 years.

Dawson would beat him but would get taken to school against Joe Calzaghe.

A lot of people thought Calzaghe won a clear decision. So I doubt Lamp is the only one who feels that way.

I'm going to guess Dawson by close decision.

Yeah cause dollars build legacys right ? I doubt in 10 years or so when Hopkins has been long retired people will give a **** about a win over a RJJ that could be killed by a swift breeze. The money is always going to be there so why not fight the best guys instead of cherry picking ? Its a wonder boxing aint dead with bull**** fighters like this and people like yourself defending it.

You think Hopkins cares about his legacy right now? He's 45 years old his legacy is already there. It's time for him to cash out while he can. Get real. :deal

Dawson wins clearly. Hopkins isn't what he used to be. Chad is too fast and too mobile. He knows what types of fighters he can still beat and Dawson ain't one of them.

Dawson is all wrong for Hopkins because as long as Chad maintains high workrate then all I see is a UD for CD.

Dawson would give Hopkins a beating, it wouldn't even be competitive. Hopkins will look like a ****ing snail if he fought Dawson, he would be outclassed and outgunned in every way possible. Only blind Hopkins fans think Hopkins would win.
