Hopkins vs Dawson? Who you like?

Hopkins, the closer it gets the more confident I am that Hopkins has got what it takes to get decision.

Interesting but the guy doesn't take into account it was the first two rounds, how many fighters get clocked in the first two rounds falling for feints? early on you have the energy and everything is cagey you'll move back (especailly if you're a quicker fighter) at the slightest hint of offense from the opponent it's when you've settled maybe got a couple of rounds in the bag maybe connected with a combo maybe landed a few jabs that you relax without even realising it, that's when the small things Hopkins does take over.

Im going for Hopkins. Whenever he is in his (im quiet im not talking to anyone) mode he seems to deliver big.

Out of all the upsets that Benard has, Trinidad, Pavlik & Pascal...these guys were all seek and destroy type fighters, in some of B-Hops losses against guys like Jones Jr. , Taylor & Calzaghe, these guys could actually box, switch it up and this is what Dawson brings to the table, he patient and isn't overly aggressive where he will be lured into the traps set by Benard, Chad is a very good boxer, can counter and doesn't take unnecessary risks, which will benefit him against Hopkins, combine this with his advantages in height, reach, speed and youth and he has a very good chance to win and I'm sure he will....

We all saw the shenanigans Benard pull against Calzaghe and an old Roy because those guys weren't falling for those tricks he employs, so if Chad can avoid being duped into making mistakes he should win 9-3 or 8-4....

 

I chose Dawson. He's got all the advantages here.

BUT- I would love to see B-Hop take the win.

 

I said it once, I say it again and in the last "minute" Hopkins, Hopkins, Hopkins and y'all gonna fall on ur chairs ONCE AGAIN!

 

I think people are forgetting that he pulled of one of his greatest performances against Tarver who was/is a slick fighter. Even past prime he still won rounds off Dawson which Dawson basically gave away because of his mental lapses. Joppy too could box but him too got mauled and dominated. Like everyone he fights I'm sure Hopkins saw something he could exploit in Dawson and hopefully he does and wins in a way the judges can't take from him.

dawson should win, but bhop works a ref like none other...he could steal a few rounds and squeak out a MD/SD

 

I hope so, I'm looking forward to the fight.

We'll see if Dawson can hold up mentally.

I believe Hopkins is ready.
