Hopkins's hand speed and ability to get off was one of the main things that gave him his last win.Dawson shus down too much in fights. What was he doing in the 6th with Tarver? And he had many moments like that.Hopkins would really take advantage of this.

Dawson is not that fast. His speed is way overrated. Hopkins will nullify Dawson's offense and counter effectively.

Ofcourse not, but the Pavlik win proves that Hopkins still has it at world level.

I dont see Chads style being a problem for Hopkins, i certainly dont agree that he is anything like Jermain Taylor, other than being a tall black geezer...

Dawson is a southpaw for one, and Hop has a excellent record against them, I also dont think Dawson makes the most of his height and reach advantage, Glen Johnson was able to get to Chads chin by simply walking forward. Hopkins is alot cleverer than Johnson and will def take advantage of Chads slack defence and questionable chin. Hop has enough to hit and hurt Chad on the way to a pts.

I find it interesting though that you think dawson beats Hopkins because he is a bigger more polished version of Taylor, when a more obvious comparison would be Mikkel Kessler, his style is more simlar to Taylors and he is ''bigger'' and ''more polished''. Who would you pick between Kessler and Hopkins? Hopkins I imagine...

Dawson is way overrated. I think B Hop outpoints him. Glen Johnson all ready outpointed Dawson, anyone who watches that fight can see that. Hopkins UD all day, lets make the fight.

You can't use the Johnson fight to gauge how Hopkins would do against Dawson. Completely different styles.

Cant use this cant use that. I dont beleive you know much about style anyway, you think Dawson has the same style as Taylor...

Dawson via clear 7-5/8-4 decision. He brings the same challenges as Taylor and is superior to Jermain in numerous aspects. Short of the perfect counter resulting in KO, it's difficult to see Hopkins actually outboxing Dawson.

People seem to forget how much BHOP struggle with athletic fighters. Taylor gave him problems with only pure athleticism, yes Taylor only won because of this, it sure wasn't because of his technical abilities since Taylor is VERY technically flawed compared to BHOP. I just see Dawson, a fighter just as fast if not faster, and more technically sound than Taylor beating BHOP. But again, in a close UD.

Dawson. As good as the Pavlik win was it was a styles fight exploited by Bernard, imo, He's diminished and Dawson will beat him just like Taylor did.
