175 is Hopkins territory and even at age 46 Bhop is still formidable. BHop by UD.

BHop should win this comfortably though I'd have slight doubts if this fight was scheduled to take place in Britain. The judging there is heavily biased.

    Hopkins.
I would be rooting for Froch, but I dont think he would win. Froch beat Pascal who put Hopkins down twice, but styles make fights.
I like Froch but his style is all right for Hopkins to take advantage of.
Hopkins holds alot and Froch is ineffective alot of the time when held. This is where I think Hopkins would take advantage of the situation.
Froch would be rendered ineffective whilst the little work that would happen would come from Hopkins in a boring maulling type of fight. Froch would win some rounds but not as many as Hopkins.

    Hopkins clear UD

    Why do you think that?
Look at what Ward is allowed to do in Joakland etc or some of the results that have come from America ie Lewis - Holyfield 1

    Hopkins.

He is aging, but he hasn't gotten old yet. Froch is improving, but he hasn't improved enough.

In another year or two, if Hopkins continues his slow, slow decline, and if Froch continues his improvement... then who knows? Froch has definitely shown that he is capable of growing as a fighter. He is becoming a genuine boxer-puncher. Given his awful showing against Dirrell and his technical schooling by Taylor (Froch's win showed his courage and relentlessness, but also appeared to show his technical flaws), I never thought that would happen. Losing a close fought match against a faded Kessler was better than expected, then schooling Abraham was sweet.

Give it time, and things could well change. But right now? Bhop takes this one.

Hopkins would not win this fight, not at 46 no way, seems alot of people are quick to say Hopkins would work out his style and win but i dont see it. If Hopkins fought him and won it would be his biggest win in a long time. FACT..... Bottom line hopkins would be Gassed by the 8th round. If you want to talk prime Hopkins now that is a different thread...

I'm not saying other places are better, but Britain is almost up there with the worst. (Texas, Canada, Germany) Direll was robbed let's not forget. Plus other... infractions, Ruiz hit behind the head several times, Mitchell helped. British fighters "expect" to get decisions due to hometown advantage. It's bad.
I wrongfully singled Britain out (triggered among others by biased scoring among British commentators), but as a general rule, I wouldn't want this fight to be fought anywhere other than neutral ground.

The real question is who lands more dirty strikes.

Good fight. I think I'd favour hopkins. The difference between froch and Pascal though is Froch often fights at a slow relaxed pace but he can am it up quite a bit if he has to. Although he lasted the pace against Froch, Pascal hasn't shown the same kind of stamina. Also Froch always seems mentally more in a fight then pascal when things aren't going his way. Froch like bradley has the attitude that if things aren't going his way he just goes to war and figures things out as he goes. Pascal on the other hand looked like he wanted to think his way through the middle rounds of the hopkins fight but once Hopkins started finding his rhythm he took several rounds to really come up with any good ideas. Froch on the other hand doesn't have the same speed that Pascal does or counter punching ability. I think Froch gives hopkins more troubles but probably doesn't get any knock downs. I think Hopkins would probably win a close descision.
