If Hopkins looses the fight with Pavlik i see this is a very likely match up for a right to challenge Chad Dawson. Both guys are old, but Johnson has more left in the tank, IMO in a grueling fight he would UD Hopkins. Im a big fan of the road warrior so i might be a bit biased here. Another possible fight is Jones vs Hopkins.....Jones will most likely loose to Calzaghe which would setup a farewell match between the two veterans. I think that Hopkins would win this fight by a close decision or even a knock out....Jones lost the speed and the reflexes he once had and now he would get countered by BHOP all night long. this is how i see the near future play out at lightheavy
if both lost and decided to fight (jones and hopkins) i dont hink it would be a a big enough fight, both coming off loses

The Hopkins vs Jones rematch should have happened like 10yrs ago.. This fight does not prove anything anymore.. I hope Calzaghe fights Chad Dawson or Kelly Pavlik if he gets trough Roy
Hopkins UD Roy Johnson UD Hopkins However, I think the hopkins over roy is very certain and maybe a KO if hopkins gets to him but he probably wont be active enough. The johnson fight, I see glen winning on activity but hopkins might be able to pull it off, if johnson comes in bad shape and doesnt have his usual work rate.
I don't see Hopkins fighting Johnson again. Bernard just wants big fights, and even though Johnson is a highly deserving fighter, he is not a big name. But Jones-Hopkins II, whether both men lose, win, or if one wins and the other loses, is always a possibility. The only thing getting in the way of the rematch happening are the egos of each man, and while that has stopped it from happening in the previous 15 years, now that both men are closing in on retirement, I think it is more likely.
