I agree with you man, Kessler is not a fluid counterpcher. But neither is Taylor. He was forcing those counters against Lacy, it was pathetic. After a certain point even Lacy knew what punch Taylor was gonna counter with

Thanks for the videos, but I don't think you follow me. Nobody is disputing Kessler's superior speed and athletic ability. Now skill - skill... That's more the question. The more complete fighter, the more dynamic fighter - that's more the question. Kessler demonstrates no apparent skill in this clip - just speed and athleticism exhibited through pop in and pop out, set and reset pacing. Pavlik demonstrates a far wider aray of shot selection, better combinations, a clearly superior ability to throw power shots in transition - which is rooted in his balance and footwork, and a better defense - blocking/parrying capability. Watch your own reference videos and see the difference. One guy is a painfully generic without any imagination, the other guy is systematically destructive and purposeful. It's clear as day.

Kessler is too basic to beat Hopkins(if Hopkins shows up like he did for Pavlik)....Hopkins will counter Kessler's 1-2 all night and coast to a decision....

I actually think Kessler's combination boxing is way underrated.

Look at this short clip for example. Plenty of combinations and punch variety.

Calzaghe squeaks through by a much disputed split decision against Hopkins, and yet going by this poll so far, the far, far, more predictable, straight line, and limited Kessler wins easily. Sort it out!!

The Kessler love in on here needs to stop...

Bernard won't fight Kessler. Too much risk.

So honestly he really hasn't fought anyone good at all except Calzaghe and he got beat. You may calls those wins over Mudine and Beyer good ands thats your opinion but other then that he fought a bunch of nobodies. He might look good against those fighters but unless he steps up in competition all I have to say is that he is just a hype fighter. Not impressed at all !!!!

I like him to fight against Taylor or Bute at least. If he wins over both of them or maybe one at the moment I give him some credit but other then that ALL HYPE !

Kessler is a good fighter, no doubt about it.
